Has anyone gotten the VBR Agnet working on a BackupExec system? Agent is installed correctly and is communicating (heartbeat) with the VBR Master. But none of the modules seem to collect or transfer any data at all. Anyone? Anyone? Beuler?

That is actually a very common thing. The data rates listed are usually the 'minimum' you can achieve. Depending on the nature of the data (ie: how it compresses), you can achieve much better storage rates.

Makes sense, Mike. That's exactly how I used to do it at a previous company. Unfortunately, I don't think there's really an easier way to get the same variety of schedules and retentions in fewer policies. $0.02
