That is actually a very common thing.
The data rates listed are usually the 'minimum' you can achieve.
Depending on the nature of the data (ie: how it compresses), you can achieve much better storage rates.
When you visit the link, under 'Version', select 6.5.2 and under 'File Type' select 'Patch'

Unfortunately, I don't think there's really an easier way to get the same variety of schedules and retentions in fewer policies.
