BIOGRAPHY

Deepak Mohan is Executive Vice President of the Veritas Products Organization. In this role, he is responsible for leading the vision, strategy, and delivery of the Veritas Enterprise Data Services Platform. The combined portfolio includes NetBackup, NetBackup Appliances, Backup Exec, Enterprise Vault (EV), InfoScale Software-defined Storage, and other products. Deepak is an experienced business leader and 30-year veteran of the backup and recovery space who started his career at Cheyenne Software. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President of Products and Engineering at Carbonite. Prior to that, Deepak served as Senior Vice President of EMC’s Backup and Recovery division. Before his tenure at EMC, Deepak spent nearly 15 years at Veritas and later Symantec, where he led many of the largest software product groups and introduced several new product offerings. Deepak holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from New York City College, and a master’s degree in Computer Science from New York University. He also holds two patents in the data protection space.
