HI, I do not think it is desirable to introduce the automatic update feature in NetBackup. The Maintenance Pack actually replaces the binary files which requires stopping servicesand I guess it is not suitable to critical application like Net...
Ideally the master server should be up and running when the Media servers are starting. So you can start the master server first and then the media servers.Br,Deepak.
