We would like to migrate solaris 8.0 to 9.0 veritas volume manager is running on it.We have downtime to migrate.Can some one help how to do this migration.Anji

Hi,If you are on master server you can usebpdbjobs -cancel if you are on netbackup client (unix)#ps -ef | grep bpget the process id for bpbkar#kill -9 Hope it will work for youWith Regards,Anji

Hi,You can specify tape and disk as alternative. if you don'twant to take catalog backups on a tape which is in the robot then connect a stand alone drive and take the catalog backups.With Regards,Anji

Hi,you create a separate storage unit with one tape drive and specify maximum multiplexing based on number of clientssending the backup streams . But specify the storage unit in the policy attributes so that the backups will run on the drive only.if...
