OK I have seen and read quite a few posts on this matter, with very few solutions. Here is my issue. Here is what I am having for an issue. Iam using the BackupExec 11D (7071) and backing up Windows Systems. The majority of my jobs run fine. There are a few jobs that error out because of the *** Completed status: Failed Final error: 0xe000feb9 - The NDMP subsystem reports that a request cannot be processed because it is in the wrong state to service the request. Final error category: Resource Errors For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-65209 **** I have checked out the port 10000 on the affected servers. The port on the affected system is used by Client system I have uninstalled rebooted reinstalled on the affect system with no change. Changing the port on all the servers is not a good option as the amount of systems that is affected is not large, and change it on good systems I fear may cause more harm then good. So anyone have a good solution for htis or a wokr around for the affect systems to be able to back them up? Thanks for any suggetions.24KViews0likes12CommentsERROR: Failed to register/unregister D:\Program Files\Symantec\BACKUP~1\NT\

We have restart our Tandberg tape library. The "Connect to Media Server" screen pops up when I try to start Symantec backup exec, however, on the bottom of "The Connect to Media Server" screen, it shows "Backup Exec Services on xxxxxxx: Stopped". I had tried to manually start "Backup Exec Server" service, but it returns an error "Could not start the Backup Exec Server service on Local Computer, Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly" How do I fix this issue, or do I need to post more info. using the BE utility?16KViews1like4CommentsUnable to backup to Dell RD1000 removable SATA Hard Disk Drive

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie here so any input would be very helpful to me. Here's the scenario. I am trying to restore a Domain Controller with Active Directory. So far, I've tried doing a complete full backup on a backup-to-disk folder and then creating an IDR bootable CD. With the help from the forums, I've managed to solve the network card issue and was able to connect to the folder. I even managed to completely restore all of the files, but I do get the error that says unable to Load hive 0X2 etc. I reboot the machine and it says that my Ntoskrnl is corrupt or missing. Second option, I tried was to build a general Windows 2003 Server and then install BE 11D and then tried to do a Directory restore and I also get an error stating that I cannot replace the current Hive configuration. Any ideas? Thanks in advance DC newbie8.5KViews0likes9Commentsgetting Not Appendable (End marker unreadable)
