Tape consume extra space then actual upload size
We were taking Tape backup (LTO) from Windows server folder. After backup was completed, when we compared the size on the Tape was different from the actual size on the windows folder. We could not able to find where the extra space consumed on the tape. Windows Folder size: 58 GB After Tape Back, size on tape is: 90 GB We could not able to identify this extra 32 GB How and where on tape drive we can identify extra utilized space/files/waste ? andhow we can remove it ? Is there an agent removal tool?
I had v10 or so installed and upgraded to v21. Existing agents on W10 machines will not uninstall. I followedhttps://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100005184 but still the new version still fails to install b/c there is an existing agent. Is there an agent removal tool or more complete instruction?
Backup Exec Restore
Hello when I attempted to restore the SQL database, the following error occurred. V-79-65323-4305 - The log in this backup set begins at LSN 375268000006452800001, which is too recent to apply to the database. An earlier log backup that includes LSN 375268000001202400001 can be restored. thanks,,
Inaccurate disk storage
Hi All, Anyone can help me figure out or resolve the issue? We have network storage (10TB free/50TB) after deleting the old backup with that we can at least have the space available. but in the BE console shows (46.5TB used/50TB). and that is not accurate to our original capacity which is (10TB free/50TB). It might also cause a failed backup and it turns out to offline status because it is already full. Is there any resolution that might help us to resolve this? Thank you in advance.
Tape library and drives firmware upgrade
Hello Experts, Planning to upgrade Tape library and drives Firmware version. Tape library is connected to media server and used for LTR. First backup going to disk and then duplicated to tape for LTR. 1. Do we need to stop the Netbackup services on master and all media server(including appliances)? 2. or do we need to stop Netbackup services on robot control host media servers? 3. Not required to stop Netbackup services on any server? Note: Library vendor request for 1 hour down timenbauditreport gives error

MSL2024 Robotic Partition reconfiguration
Hi, I have a Query at a company running Backup Exec version 21.4 using an HP LTO tape library with two drives and 24 tape slots. The previous IT guy is gone but left the partition with 14 partitions. The first 1 -11 is a single partition and the rest of each has one slot, I need to change this configuration but I'm wondering what effect the changes would have on existing data that use the current partitions. will they update automatically? I don't want to make changes with existing 12 to 24 individual partitions if reconfiguring the partitions and changing from 14 to 24 individual could cause problems or data loss. 1-11 don't have drives

Hello Experts, Oracle policy has been deleted and oracle client server has been decommissioned but still Net backup throwing error "thespecifiedpolicydoesnotexistintheconfigurationdatabase" with job policy "NULL" and Job schedule "NULL". Can you please advise how to stop occurring this error.
