Office 2013 + DLO 'there is no email program program associated to perform the requested action'
Hi, we have symantec Desktop and Laptop option 7.0 and we plan to migrate office from 2007 32bit to 2013 64bit. While testing we noticed the problem with a window poping up saying 'There is no email program associated to perform the requested action. Please install an email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel'. It does not pop up for colleague, who used to have office 2010 64bit and has 64bit DLO agent. So I would like to ask if it is somehow possible to install 64bit DLO without office 2010 64bit.

DLO 7.5 Agent Error

How to restore the data to user computer when he is out of office in DLO mp7?
win 2008 r2 DLOServer dlo 6.1 mp7 I want to restore data to a user computer, probem is :that user is out of the office. will i have to wait til that client come back to the office before I can start the restore?

Morning, I'm having a problem with DLO on windows 8, sudenly it stops working after a few days. the error is: the database server name is not specified in the registry But, if i start as admin all works. my account is also local admin of the computer, so i cannot understand why this is happening and why this stops working after a few days. This is just happening on windows 8, windows 7 is ok. i have been in multiple sites, check all config files and registry settings.... all ok! :( please help..... Server: windows 2008 R2 / DLO 7.5 Computer: windows 8 pro / DLO Agent Regards NS

Unable to connect to DLO Media Server using Mac
Hi I am getting the below message when launching DLO from a Mac which is joined to the domain: Unable to connect to Media Server. Either you are not connected to the network or te Server it not responding. DLO need to be able to contact te Server to perform this action. Windows computers are working fine on this DLO server and I am also able to ping the DLO server from the Mac, but I am not able to find the server name from the Mac Any ideas what is causing this or what might need to be set up? User stuck in Delete Pending state
Hi I have a user that I'm trying to delete and they're stuck in "Delete Pending" state for the last few days. I am in the process of deleting many users and had to manually delete some NUDFs to complete this task more quickly. This user is the last one and I want to retire the storage location, but am unable to as it's stuck in "Delete Pending" state. I have looked at the below article on how to delete the user from the DB: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH138374 But I am unable to locate the BEUTILITY feature to carry out this. Is there an updated document detailing how to do this? Can I use the DLOcommandu feature? Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks Jimmy

Users unable to launch DLO after domain name change
Hi We changeed a domain name from domainA to domainB. Users on domainA have been deleted from the DLO console and re-added to domainB. Users then logon to their systems with the domainB credentials and when the DLO agent launches, it give the following message: Currently authecticated to BACKUPSERVER as domainA\user1. authenticating as different user will disconnect domainA\user1 * Use this account: Username: _________________ Domain: __________________ Password: ___________________ O Disable this account: domainB\user1 Don't automatically start the Desktop Agent at startup when logged in to this computer When I try to enter in the username and domain details for domainB in the available boxes it fails. Should the username be entered as domainB\user1? I have also uninstalled everything from the agent system and re-installed under the new domain, but still this happens. Is there something on the DLO server that needs to be done when changing domain names? Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks Jimmy

Deleting users using dlocommandu
Hi Would you be able to let me know what the correct command is to delete users using the dlocommandu? I've tried DLOcommand -delete -U domain\username but it returns the following: Usage: DLOCommandu [remote-server-options] command [command-options] [log-file-option] Also, can you delete a list of users from a csv file? I would much prefer to use BEMCLI but this is not included with my installatio. I working off DLO Console 7.5. Any help would be great. Thanks Jimmy

DLO Upgrade 7.0 to 7.6
We are planning an upgrade from 7.0 to 7.6 very soon. Once the server has been upgraded, are the 7.0 desktop agents still able to perform backups before they receive the updated 7.6 Agent, or are they essentially disabled until then? Also, am I correctly interpreting the 7.6 Admin Guide to say that publishing the update via DLOcommandu.exe will not work for Windows 7 x64 systems? Further, if we were migrating the DLO SQL database from one MS SQL database server to another, would we be able to just update the setup.ini in the Agent install folder, and simultaneously update both the desktop agent and its pointer to the correct SQL database?
