Unable to start postgresql 8.3 service for MSDP
Hi , I'm using Netbackup 7.5 and just move netbackup to new server and recovered full catalog. After that unable to restart postgresql 8.3 service , Deduplication services and backup is giving 2074 error "storage server is down " Waiting for solution. Thanks , NEERAJ MEHTA938Views4likes3Comments

PDCR services often become unused

Hi all, We recently migrated to Netbackup Appliances running Netbackup 7.6.0.1 (Appliance version 2.6.0.1 ) We are running 2 appliances per site, each site is its own NBU domain (We use AIR to replicate). Each appliance is configured with a 70TB PureDisk volume. We are quite new to PureDisk that is running on these systems, but at this moment they are limited to 80 streams maximum in the diskpool object (Which seems pretty low to me) At the moment we are running out of resources due to this maximum that has been set. What is the maximum streamcount a 5230 Appliance PureDisk can safely handle? Note that we are using AIR to replicate all our images, but replication is being done during the day, not during backup times... Any advice is greatly appreciated! Hi All, Trying to configure deduplication in a multi netbackup environment but getting error media write error 84( Optimised duplication not supported when source and target server are the same) Dont know what i m doing wrong..Below is the environment.. 1-Two netbackup server's both are configured as master and media server..both having different MSDP configured.. 2-if i removed the deduplication and configured replication only then it works fine, but whenever deduplication is configuring getting error media write error 84.. 3-Attaching the snapshot of SLP..I think i m not able to configured target server in SLP..i read lot of docs but nothing works Thanks in advance..Solved3.4KViews1like1Comment
Seeding Netbackup Puredisk locally to USB?
Hello, I am running a Netbackup Puredisk 6.6.0.3 server and have to begin backups of a large amount of data over a very small link. Is there any funcionally within puredisk to allow me backup to USB on the server i am backing up and then Plug the USB hard drive into my Puredisk server to add to my disk pool to save potentally weeks of performing a Full Backup over a network link?
