Vielen Dank schon mal! Hi all, I had opened up the magzine of the autoloader and replace the tape manually. After that, I encountered the error whenever I tried to bring the robotic library online and which I swop back to the original tape. Now, how do I resolved this and what would be the correct procedures to replace the tape from the autoloader using BE2012? Hi Everyone Last week on the 27th of August, we applied some Windows Updates to our backup server running Backup Exec 2012, and after the restart, the backup job rates have fallen from where it was at about 3200 MB/min to 660 MB/min as seen below. What could be the cause of this? Is it an update, or are there any other possible solutions. Nothing else changed. Nathan Streb – Systems Administrator – NAC Solutions The challenge for Nathan was to improve business continuity, so he began virtualizing NAC’s servers in late 2011. Within 18 months, five racks holding 30 physical servers shrank to 1.5 racks holding two VMware ESXi hosts, containing a total of 24 virtual servers running Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, and Linux. Nathan says that, eventually, NAC’s data center will be 100 percent virtual. Charles Butler - Director of Product Management for Backup Exec. Charles has been in this role since 2008. What are the minimum permissions needed for Backup Exec to run. The Backup Exec service account is currently an Enterprise Admin and that seems way too high. But whatever level of access it still will have to have the ability to backup AD. Thank youSolved759Views2likes6CommentsBackup and Recovery Tools

Hi Everyone I'm working with: Backup Exec 2012, IBM Ultrium-TD4 I am struggling with a unique problem, and I just cannot seem to find a working order. We have 8 servers backing up to two tapes in a tape-deck. Two recyclable 800/1600 tapes are inserted from last week. Tape 1 is full and recycleable. Tape 2 is about 70% full and recycleable. All jobs are set to append, but overwrite if not possible Overwrite protection is 1 day. Append is infinite. The jobs start by server 1 appending to the 30% free space, but soon runs out. It promptly stalls there and Library Insert is displayed. It's an append job, so it will not overwrite the recycleable space in tape 1, nor tape 2. Backups failed. Set jobs to overwrite. Server 1 writes to Tape 1, 45% space left. Server 2 writes to Tape 2, 40% space left. Library Insert, because the jobs are now overwrite, and not append, so they can't append to the free space on the tapes. This is driving me insane. 5 months of having this program, and the only time backups are successful, is if I manually go and erase both tapes before the backups start. Any ideas?Solved2.7KViews2likes18Comments
