Symantec DLO 7.5 Dedupe Server and Dedupe Storage Location
Hi, I am planning to install Symantec DLO 7.5 to useDedupefeature that available in this. I have one Data Center and many branch offices and want to install in Multiple Sites with Centralised Administration. My question is about Dedupe Server and Dedupe storage location? How many Dedupe server and how many Dedupe Storage locations required in multiple sites with central administration topology? Can some one please help me with best practice around this? Thanks. How to refresh DLO licensing after changes?
Hi, Some of our users are getting the message that "The Symantec DLO license has expired" -- this made me realize that we had reached our limit of 60 users on our license. However, I found out that many of the users in our domain do not actually need backups of the workstations that they use. Now I am down to 52 users of the software, but the users reporting the expiration message are still getting it! How can I refresh the licensing so that those users see the most current info?
DLO backlog management
Hello, We've found that DLO is not well handling backlog. We've got clients that reports to console succeddfull backup, but when we browse the server storage, lots of data are missing. We've tried to move users from dedup storage to regular one : no changes (except that dedup seems ways faster). After a useless ticket openned with support, it looks like DLO is not handling backlog, data may remain on the client and never being pushed back the server. Have you got any experience of this ? Is there some tools to check clients ? Any log files to identify the issue ? Thanks for your feedback,
