creating different searches in one case and exporting seperate pst's
Hi , i had a criteria where i have to seach for different users based on some criteria under one case and needed to get the pst's seperatley for each case. what i did is created 6 new searches in a single case and accepted all the seaches \then exported which turned out single pst file . do i have to accept each seach speperately and export ? if i needed in single case ? Search with Multiple AND and OR
Hello. I am trying to find items with one search that matches the following in English: subject or content (blue and car) or (red and car) or (yellow and car) or(blue and boat) or (red and boat) Tried the following in DA: subject or content: blue red yellow +car subject or content: blue red +boat When I run this search it seems like it is finding only those items that match on car AND boat or blue or red or yellow. I'm looking at a particular search where they are looking for near hits and, amongst the search terms, excluding to or from certain targets. eg. restructur match within 10 characters as well as not to or from T:Joe McSweeney. Hello all, I'm running EV10SP4+CHF1 and DA10SP4+CHF1 installed. I cannot connect to the DA-server using the client.... I get the error: Cannot connect to server: Client version is 10.0.4.1107 and server version is 10.0.4.1106 I've installed several 10 DA clients, but none have client version 10.0.4.1106..... In EVBAADMIN, the infor is: DA-server - 10.0SP4 revision 18 Customer database - 10.0418 Does anyone else have the same? Is there a specific client I need to use. EV Discovery Accelerator - Reports Requesting Credentials
A quick-fire question: Each time I run a report for the first time from within the EV DA Client (10.0.4), I am requested to enter the credentials to connect to the SQL Reporting Server. I enter the same credentails as the user I am logged on as and away we go !! I am OK running any other reports within the same session, but once I end the DA session and reconnect I need to enter the credentials again. Also, every time I select to export data to PDF/Excel I am asked for credentials. Is there some way I can set this up so it doesn't ask me for credentails the first time I run a report in each session ? We have DA set up on a Windows Server 2008 R2 box which is seperate from our Vault server and accessed via the console on a windows XP box. I set up the search for a single user's archive with the criteria being that it is from him within the week required. I saved it as an immediate search but it comes up with a status of queued. There is another search going on at the moment but would this be why it is currently queued? The end goal is simply to export all outgoing mail from this user with in this one week period of time; is there an easier way to do this? After reviewing the requirements for EV base software (Services or API) to be installed prior to EVDA I am not 100% as to the versions allowed. I have an EV server running 10.0.1, which will be upgraded to 10.0.4 over the coming months. I will be installing EVDA shortly (before the EV 10.0.4 upgrade) and therefore want to install 10.0.4 on the DA server to save work in the future. I know that EVDA can be at a later version than EV itself, but does this include the services/API installed on the EVDA server ? In summary, I would like to do the following: EV Server has 10.0.1 installed and running (mailbox/journal/FSA archiving) New EVDA server - install EV 10.0.4 services or API runtime , install EVDA 10.0.4 Is this OK, or do I need to install the 10.0.1 services or API runtime on the new EVDA server Thanks, AJ.Solved656Views0likes2Comments
Discovery Accelerator search results inaccurate
We continue to experience inaccurate results which consist of items for a non-selected userthat does not meet the criteria in the search. We have tested with twodifferent searches that producevery differentresults. We use the following search criteria fora search that givesus not only the specific users hits for the day, but another user is included in the hits which appears to only meet the date criteria and not theto or from criteria selected.This is created using a specific date range which is Oct. 3rd - October 3rd. Search terms to or from and we select a singleuser name by clicking on the target and custodian icon on the right. Miscellaneous - Message type is set to all content sources. On the other hand, when we run the same search by typing the name in the to and from field, "first last" then we do not get the additional user listed in the hit however, we do not get the Instant Messages either. DA question about "Items already in review"
Hello, Just needed to confirm something, legal was asking me about "Include items already in review". They wanted confirmation that this setting is at the case level? So if the legal person runs a search and does not select "Include items already in review but another legal case has the email she is looking for already in review will it be captured in the new search? Hope that makes sense, I know generally it isa good idea to select this option but wanted to see how it worked between multiple cases or if the setting is only internally to that case? We are building a document that shows what type of attachments are not indexed by Enterprise Vault and are therefore not searched when using Discovery Accelerator. We use DA when we are subpoened for efiles and may need to show a court which types of files may not be produced when searched. The only document I've seen from Symantec uses generic terms like it cannot search within encrypted emails or audio files...we're looking for something a bit more specific...such as PDF or image files, etc. Obivously we can't account for every type of file but if we can get a good list of common files that would be helpful.
