CASO Server Down/Unavailable
Hello I have 2 3600 appliances in my company. Both in different sites. We are backing up servers locally to each and duplicating jobs between both devices. One of the servers is also licensed with the enterprise server option (CASO). My problem is that my appliance running the CASO license has fallen over and died. The other appliance is running fine , however all the backupexec services have stopped on it and we cannot connected to it. How can I move my enterprise server option license to this MMS server and start recovering/backing up again ? Regards F1.4KViews3likes14CommentsBackupExec Appliance 3600R2 with CASO
The existing environment now that i have a BackupExec Server attached to the fiber tape library and i purchased Backup Exec appliance and CASO for the Physical server to enable the Physical server to manage the appliance and delegates jobs to it. I get an error everytime i tried to add the backup exec appliance as MBES for the Physical server. I want to double check if this solution is applicable and if anyone has any ideas regarding the steps have to be done to perform this solution. On the other hand , I want to notify that the physical Backup Exec server databse is SQL 2008R2 Express498Views1like2CommentsCASO
My goal is to use optimized/shared deduplication to replicate server backups between my two sites and be able to restore those backups and local backups during a vpn failure or site failure. If site A is down, I want to recover site A servers to site B. If site B is down, I want to recover site B servers to site A. SO I am thinking of caso, but is bidirectional replication is possible for CASO. In my test environment I tried to share both dedup storage. I am able to replicate from A to B but not from B to A. When i tried to do it from B to A the shared dedup storage A showing Paused at B site. SO CASO support bidirectional replication/ duplication.?? Need help.Solved858Views1like7Comments
