This morning I let Firefox update itself to version 39 and now it refuses to connect to OpsCenter 7.6.1.2 due to weak ciphers. Here's the error: An error occurred during a connection to <servernameeditedout>. SSL received a weak ephemeral Diffie-Hellman key in Server Key Exchange handshake message. (Error code: ssl_error_weak_server_ephemeral_dh_key) IE still worked (with complaints) so I know the webserver is there... I tried all the rebuild keystore KBs to no effect so I went digging more. Turns out the fault is in Program Files\Symantec\Opscenter\gui\webserver\conf in the file server.xml I tried editing the line that specifies what types of encryption can be allowed during the secure connection and just messed it up further since I'm not a security expert...I did get things to complain that there wasn't a compatible level of encryption if I deleted all the references to 128 bit stuff so I think I was on the right track but... I'm back on the reverted file and I guess I have to open a ticket with Support...Solved2.5KViews4likes5CommentsExchange 2010 DAG Restore
Hello All I have OPSCenter Running on Windows Server 2008 R2 and want to try and restore an Exchange 2010 Mailbox. I do not see under the advanced search option that allows me to select Exchange policy. So is it even possible to restore an Exchange 2010 DAG Mailbox from OPSCenter? thanks ed890Views2likes2CommentsOpsCenter View Builder Compatibility with 2008
TheCompatibility Technote and SORT states: View Builder shows"YES" in the colmuns for usage on 2008 and 2008R2 (32 or 64 bit) However, there is a note (2) which says "2. NetBackup 7.6 and later does not support this feature on this platform." I've seen the View Builder work fine at 7.6 on 2008. Why are we saying it NOT supported at 7.6? Why are we dropping support?516Views1like2CommentsOpsCenter Restore files not shown
Hi, I have a strange problem with OpsCenter 7.6.0.1 restore function, when using the browse option a directory listing is not showing the contents, I can see the full directory and files if I use the Java GUI and I can also use the OpsCenter restore search option to locate a file within the missing directory listings. This may be due to some of the file names that the MAC application creates which start with ._ but unsure. I have attached a few screenshots in a doc to show the problems, I want to use the OC restore as I have a user that looks after the restore and it is easier to use the OC for this with selected views, also I cannot locate a MAC client for the Java GUI :-) Kev1.6KViews0likes13CommentsOpsCentre System Requirements
All Apolgies in advance as I'm sure there is a technote for this but I've hunted for sometime and looked at all the admin guides but can't seem to find a basic overview. I need to confirm the system requirements for an OpsCentre Server. We are running 7.5.0.6 ona Windows 2008 R2 x64 server. (We will be upgrading to 7.6 shortly) We will be introducing another master and I'veconfirmed that as a result we should have a dedicated box for OC. We only have 350 servers in the environment but these do include a large number of SQL and Oracle dbs. Total environment size is around 300TiB. I wanted to confirm what sort of local disk sizes I should be looking at for the opscentre server. I've also seen conflicting reports on the suitability of using a VM for this, can anyone speak to this, whether a physical server is much better or not. Finally a recommendation on the memory and CPU, I know it states 8GB as minimum requirement but I'm assuming as always this will simply stop the server from falling over and not actually give a useable setup thanks in advance for the help Al861Views0likes1CommentVersions supported by OpsCenter Analytics.
Hi, I'm planning an implementation of OpsCenter Analytics to send SNMP alerts to monitor servers with TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) and BackupExec. I read that in the next releases of Opscenter, those backup tools wont be supported, do you know anything about it? https://sort.symantec.com/checklist/install/ops_sample_win Thank you!598Views0likes1CommentMoving custom reports - OPScenter 7.0.1 and 7.5
Hi All, I have a question about My Reports in OPSCenter. I have old 7.0.1 but with many of custom reports. There is a problem with database consistency, so, I don't want to upgrade. I installed new OPSCenter 7.5, and this is working good. But I have to have the same reports (custom) from old version in new version. It is possible to move created custorm reports from OPSCenter 7.0.1 to 7.5? If so, how to do that? Both are Windows 2008 R2 Thx & regards Jakub Madejski679Views0likes3CommentsOpscenter 7.5.0.3 with Netbackup 7.5.0.5
Hi, I know that Opscenter should be equal to, or higher than the Netbackup version being montitored, but I am unsure if this includes Rollup patches too. Can I monitor Netbackup 7.5.0.5 with my current Opscenter installation of 7.5.0.3 ? (Or do I need to upgrade it to 7.5.0.5 also) Thanks NickSolved608Views2likes2Comments
