BESR 2010 - Looking for OLD Backup Drive (manage Backup destination)
Hi All, How Do i remove drives from BESR 2010 so it doesn't looks for them, basically I first backed up (as a test) on to a 500GBExternal USBDisk, once that was completed, Ithen used our RDX1000 (320GBCartridges), ofcourse the space was all consumed, so I thought to limit 1 recovery point for each backup and delete the old one setting, but when it got to the next day and the job ran, it was looking f or the old drive and thus failed. Ihope I have explained it clear. Basically I want it to delete the last night's backup before backing up the latest onto the rdx so it has space or the job will fail as the backup job is around 250GB and the disk is 320GB. We will be using RDX1000 with two cartridges, but the drive letter remains the same (F:\) If I format the drive now and run backup it will run fine without errors, I have attached the screenshots for the backup job and recoverypoint settings. Error EC8F17B7: Cannot create recovery points for job: Drive Backup of (C:\), Database (D:\), Logs (E:\). Error EC8F03ED: Cannot create the recovery point. Error E7D1000B: Unable to make directory 'F:/'. Error E7D10026: Unable to get attributes for 'F:/'. Error EBAB03F1: The device is not ready. Error E7D1000B: Unable to make directory '%1'. Details: Source: Backup Exec System Recovery Info 6C8F043D: Recovery point [EXTUSBDRIVE]\BKUP\SERVERNAME_C_Drive001.v2i deleted to comply with the number of recovery points to save for each drive. Following is the error which is looking for the first usb drive I used : Error EC8F1F62: Cannot find external device 'EXTUSBDRIVE'.932Views0likes7CommentsBESR 2010 can not see the network
Logged into the machine.. the network works fine so i know it is not a port issue. I ran the driver validation and it says all of the drivers are already on the boot disk. I boot the machine up and i see the network adapter as the broadcom extreme. It will not pull a dhcp and if i set a static ip.. it just says destination unreachable when i try to ping out from the boot console. any ideas? thanks402Views0likes2CommentsBackup Exec System Recovery Management Solution - installing plug-in on clients.
Hello. Does anyone know if it is possible to install management solution plug-in on clients without altiris ? I've tried to install Backup Exec 2010 on one of our computers and then manualy the plug-in, but it didn't work. I don't want to have Altiris on our company computers becouse we have diffrent software distribution solution, and installing two applications to performsame task isundesirable and will unnessesary use computer'smemory.318Views0likes1CommentBESR MC V8.5.5 Error E339197C - error 403
I have a 2003 Standard Domain controller (SP2) which fails to report in to the Management Console server. This DC is on the same subnet as the Manager but will not report in. I have tried the following. Rebooted both servers Reinstalled the manager using the easyinstaller (including ip address in package) Installed via CD (msiexec /i "management control.msi" address=https://10.176.*.*:8443) - installation completed sucessfully but error still occurs Opened IE andtyped http://10.176.*.*:8443/axis/services/publisher and get the "hi there, this is an axis service!" message Other domain controller works fine with no issues and is in the same subnet and O/S and patch level. Tried server dns name instead of ip address in the publisherUI.EXE (for some reason this fixed a problem on a file server in a different subnet) Kicked the server (again this sometimes works for most issues) The weird thing is the did report into the manager some time ago on either 7.0 or 8.0 but this box doesn't want to play ball with 8.5, 8.5.2 or 8.5.5. I don't want to revert back to older versions either. Any thing else i can try apart from depromo this server, build a new w28 server and put thisin a skip and blow it up?
