DLO 9.7 Email Alerts
Hi, We are using DLO 9.7 and we have recently upgraded our mail server to Google Workspace. After mail server upgrade we unable to received email alerts from DLO. Already log a case with DLO but no solution so far from approx one month. Same Google Workspace credentials worked everywhere including (Backup Exec). Please help any workaround for the same. Hi, We have an implementation of Symantec DLO with number of Windows 7 and some XP SP3 workstations that works OK. There are two Windows 8 that at first did not permit DLO agent installation, but after enableing Remote Registry Access, DLO agent was successfully installed. The problem is that DLO agent does not work with normal user logged in. If we login as a user that has administrator priviledges, then DLO agent does work and backups are working. We did search the KB and tried uninstall and install (from setup.exe, on local machine). We also tried to manualy enter the user into DLO Administrator. Nothing helps. Any clues? Hi everyone, Someone know about the Edge Server and IO Server features installation? I tried install this features on separate servers but send me the error in the SQL step. In Edge Server show "Update DLO DB and install Edge Server" In IO Server Show "The account you have specified is invalid" I not know how solve this. Hi, As i am new to the DLO, I installed DLO server and configured perfectly. I installed Agent on one computer in my domain. I created 2 user in DLO server of my domain. When i tried to login as user A at my client PC i am able to use DLO agent perfectly,But when i am logged in with different user account B i am not able to use DLO agent properly. I am in process of replacing our current DLO server due to lease return with a new server that will have a new name. I found artilces on migrating clients to a new server location ( https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000021773 ) but the client is still left pointing the the old server as the admin server. It seems the only way to change the client in that regard is to uninstall the client and reinstall from the new server, that seems to be quite labor intensive). Hopefully I just have not been able to stumble across an existing artilcle which covers this scenario. As we triedinstalling the DLO 8.0 on the windows server 2012 R2and DLO database on a remote SQL server. Installed the DLO 8.0 on server. During installation used server as remote SQL server and used MSSQLSERVER as default instance. Installation is completed successfully but unable to start DLO Administration services. Hello, I have problem with SDLO 8 Desktop agent installed on windows xp pro SP3. I remotely installed desktop angent with successfull installation on windows xp. When common user, without administration rights, is log on, during backup whole pc freeze and restart. After restart whole situation is repeating. Do you have any suggestions? Hey All, We are currently upgrading and switching servers from DLO3.01 to 8.0. Our process is to create the user on the new server and push the client using the wizard. I am getting a significant number of failures and some of them can be pushed using the .exe file and psexec but many of them are failing error 1603 "MSI (s) (B8:3C) [09:28:03:988]: Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Symantec DLO Desktop Agent. Product Version: 8.0.0.0. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Symantec Corporation. Installation success or error status: 1603." Is there an issue making such a big jump in upgrade? I tried to search but all I could find was upgrading from 6.0/6.5/7.5 to 8 nothing referencing updating from much older versions.
