Hi. We have the same issue here with verion 8. Funny thing seems that we cant install manually on Dell laptops, like M388 and Latitude 7250 but works on Lenovo machines... We use SCCM to distribute win 7 ent. 64 bit. Users are local admin and UAC are disabled... Hello I installed DLO 7.5 and I cant configure Dedupe server. When I enter port numbers (i'm using wizard) and click next, the DLO Console hangs out. DLO should use my MS SQL Express R2 database. For test I installed DLO with its MS SQL Express and with this configuration i can configure dedupe. But with my database i cant. Ports 8080 and 8443 are opened. I'm using WIndows Server 2008 R2. Hello, Some of my users have their DLO clients disabled when they log in to a machine. The clients show the following error until the user opens the DLO Interface and clicks Refresh: "There is a problem with configuration on this computer. The Desktop Agent will remain disabled until the problem has been corrected by your administrator. Your administrator has been notified" I have checked KB: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH159010 which seems like it should fix the problem but it does not. All the users/machines that are having this issue were on a different DLO server but that server was retired and a new one created. A user that has never before logged into the client computer doesn't have this issue, their DLO client starts up just fine. My major concern is that someone is going to do a lot of work on a machine and not have any backups because their DLO client is disabled. Any ideas? Hi folks, I just upgraded to DLO 8.0 because I had some troubled with 7.6 SP1 and I thought to fix them by upgrading.But the troubles keep existing: On Windows 8.1 Machines the DLO Desktop Agent won't start even though it's all installed correctly.The service is running and the agent is listed in the autostart. Yet, it does not start after logging in. I can't find any misconfiguration. If someone has an idea, please let me know. Hi, We have an implementation of Symantec DLO with number of Windows 7 and some XP SP3 workstations that works OK. There are two Windows 8 that at first did not permit DLO agent installation, but after enableing Remote Registry Access, DLO agent was successfully installed. The problem is that DLO agent does not work with normal user logged in. If we login as a user that has administrator priviledges, then DLO agent does work and backups are working. We did search the KB and tried uninstall and install (from setup.exe, on local machine). We also tried to manualy enter the user into DLO Administrator. Nothing helps. Any clues? When common user, without administration rights, is log on, during backup whole pc freeze and restart. After restart whole situation is repeating. Do you have any suggestions?
