NetBackup Appliances 2.6.0.3 is now available!

NetBackup 2.6.0.3 is the latest update for NetBackup 52xx Appliances and the equivalent Appliance patch release to NetBackup 7.6.0.3. It can be applied in an upgrade to Appliances running ANY 2.5.x or 2.6.0.x version. This release includes all 336 fixes included in the NetBackup 7.6.0.3 release, including resolutions for most commonly downloaded EEBs, customer escalations, and critical internally found defects. Hi All, I am new to netbackup appliances, and face issue while day to day monitoring, like if want to run any command eg : bpimagelist etc.... i am not sure where to go and run them. the command line is totally different. I search some appliance guide but didnt got anything regarding this. Can anybody suggest a basic document to usecommand line on netbackup appliancefor administration. I have several netbackup 5230's in a special network. And by special I mean I have to be able to tell the firewall team what ports and target i.p. addresses I want to access outside it. So does anyone have a handle on what Ip address these units contact for. 1. Software updates (manage > software > check, download) 2. I'm very pleased to announce that the next Maintenance Release for NetBackup 7.5 and Release Update for NetBackup 52x0 Appliances is now available! NetBackup 7.5.0.4 is the fourth maintenance release for NetBackup 7.5. It is a cumulative release containing fixes and content from 7.5.0.1 through 7.5.0.3. In addition, this release contains an additional 315 fixes (bringing the total fixes in 7.5.0.4 to over 700!) including the most commonly downloaded EEBs, several customer escalations, and internal engineering defects. The simultaneously released NetBackup 5200/5220 Appliances 2.5.1 Release Update is the equivalent Appliance patch release to NetBackup 7.5.0.4. The significant content of NetBackup 7.5.0.4 is: No new features in 7.5.0.4. Customer would now like to change or transfer registration to his name from the x-employee. I have a new NetBackup Appliance 5230 wich was updated to 7.6.1.1 and is configured as a master server and I am triyng to login by my Windows 7 laptop with the Java Console 7.6.1.1, but getting this error : "Unable to login,status:503 Invalid Username". I don't know where is the problem, I added the usernames to the auth.conf file and it looks like: domain\user.last ADMIN=all JBP=all domain\user2.last2 ADMIN=all JBP=all domain\user3.last3 ADMIN=all JBP=all After configuring auth.conf I did restart services, my nbatd proccess is running normaly.
