VCS 6.2 Agents for Adabas and MariaDB
Hi colleagues, For a customer I have to integrate two seperate databases into VCS 6.2 running on Oracle Linux. However I have no experience with both of them. And I could not find anything on SORT. Could someone point me to the right direction regarding the VCS Agents? MariaDB The first one is MariaDB. However I can not find anything about MariaDB together with VCS. As I found out MariaDB is a spinoff from MySQL since the Oracle/Sun merge, it's very simular to MySQL. Does this mean I can use the same datbase resource as one would use for MySQL? Or is there a sperate one? I assume MariaDB works seemless with VCS 6.2, since I saw this Release Note of SFHA 6.2 stating "Performance improvements forMySQL and MariaDB applications". So I would guess it works great, but I can not find any Agent. Source: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/sfha62 Adabas The other database to integrate is Adabas (from Software AG). From what I learned from Google, I see there was a Partner Agent for VCS 4.1 MP1, but only for Solaris on SPARC or Solaris on x86. But no Linux. That is confirmed in the lit of Partner Agents in the "vcs_agent_support_matrix" spreadsheet (only Solaris on SPARC or x86, but no Linux). I also found a Symantec Article about an issue with the Adabas Agent for VCS 6.1 on SPARC/Solaris, but I can not find the Linux Agent on SORT. According to this Symantec Article the Agent should be released under the STEP (Symantec™ Technology Enabled Program). SG is not switching to next node.
Hi All, I am new to VCS but good in HACMP. In our environment we are using VCS-6.0, I one server we found that the SG is not moving from one node to another node when we tried manual failover using the bellow command. hagrp -switch <SGnamg> -to <sysname> We able to see that the SG is offline in the currnent node but it's not coming online in the secondary node. There is no error locked in engine_A.log except the bellow entry cpus load more than 60% <Secondary node name> Can anyone help me to find the solution for this. Add new node for Veritas Cluster in Solaris 10
Hi, Sorry if Im not asking this at the roght place... Im noew here.. Im trying to add a new node to my Veritas 3-node Cluster. The Nodes runs Solaris 10 SPARC as OS. So, the first thing I notice was yhat the new node does not have the VRTS packages for Solaris, so I have to install them... thi thing is.. where I can DL them? IO do not have the Veritas CD anymore... The package list is below. Reset Password of VCS User in Secure Cluster.
Dear All, Greetings! Recently i have added a VCS user in one of our VCS Cluster which in running in secure mode to access the Java Console. However i did not find any option to set a password for the same. After going thru some article i tried to #hauser -update <user name> however this option is not available for hauser command. I need your support to resolve the issue. The trailware site has been down since at least the early hours of 3rd Feb. Is someone from Symantec able to explain why it has been down for so long and when it is due to be back.
