System State Backup Problem (Final error: 0xe0000352)
Hi Experts, I'm using Windows Server 2008 R2 Ent, 64bits and Symantec Backup Exec 2010 R3. One of my backup jobs for system state has been failing with the following errors: -> Job ended: Monday, April 20, 2015 at 6:46:11 AM -> Completed status: Failed -> Final error: 0xe0000352 - The specified volume does not exist. Recreate the volume, and then try the job again. -> Final error category: Resource Errors -> For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-850 No problem backing up other data, only system state. Had checked "vssadmin list writers" and no errors. Had searched and google around, but still could not find any solution yet. Can anybody help me? I am using Backup Exec 2014 on my sever. I recieve the following error in event viewer. Event ID: 33919 Backup Exec Alert: Job Warning (Server: "XXXXXXXX") An unknown application is deleting files from the following folder: C:\ProgramData\Symantec\CRF Files contained in this folder are used by Backup Exec, and deleting them may cause Backup Exec processes to crash. Determine which application is accessing the folder and add the folder to the application's exclusion list. Optimized Duplication Verify job fails with error '0xe000810d - Physical Volume Library Media not found'
This issue was opened for backup exec 2012 but ı used 2014 and same issues showed up. I duplicate to shared deduplication storage that is located different place over wan. but because verify job takes too much timeso ı try to do verify on other server which share deduplication storage. But sometime ı get the this error. ı just checked the this picture to do verify on other server. is it true? Please help??
Restore SQL DB level tape backup on different Backup Exec 2014 Server
Hello I have deployed Backup Exec 2014 server and scheduled the backup jobs as follow. Full Backup of Backup Exec 2014 Server (External Hard disk) - Weekly Virtual Machine Conversion: Domain Server (External Hard disk) - Weekly Virtual Machine Conversion: SQL Server (External Hard disk) - Weekly SQL Database Level Backup (Tape) - Daily And above backups will be tested on separate network. (DR) Restore Backup Exec Server - Weekly Restore Domain Server VM - Weekly Restore SQL Server VM - Weekly Restore SQL DB - Daily My concern is when restoring SQL DB daily, should I need to copy Backup Exec Catalogs (C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Catalogs) manually or is it possible to include catalogs on the same tape backup job which is running daily?
