Unfortunately I did not follow these instructions from the beginning. So I started to install a dedicated EV 11 server from the install media by using the install wizard. This server came on top to our 3 server environment with EV 10 (plus additional SQL server), where each server got a dedicated task. One for FSA, one for indexing, one for archiving. In general I wouldn't mix up the EV versions, but as the DA server holds non of the above mentioned services and we are going to upgrade to EV 11 in the near future I decided to install the EV11 basics with DA 11 Then I followed the instructions here above and I could go through it smoothly. I could successfully create a customer database, but interestingly the database is not able to update. Error message in evbaadmin: ExecuteNonQuery requires an open and available Connection. Previously workingEnterprise Vault 10 on Windows 2012- We have anissue with at least two users where when we search for emails, Discovery Accelerator is skipping several months or not finding emails at all then must reboot the Discovery and EV server. (We are journaling.)For example, b/w two dates, there are several months missing. If I search 1/2014 - 5/2015, accept /exportthe results and view the emails, we might be missing emails from 10/2014 - 4/2015. The results are really inconsistent with different hit values after doing the same searches. Could anyone provide any insight to how to start totroubleshoot this issue? There are two error messages I notice during this process: 1. (When selecting the user)"Some custodians do not have values for Primary attribute".......... I am having a similar issue as described in this blog post from 2012. http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/export-not-completing We are running DA on Windows 2012 VM, Enterprise Vault is also running on Windows 2012 VMs seperate from DA and the databases are in SQL 2012. The messages are on the server but are not converting to .psts. The version of outlook is 2007. When I run this query SELECT tc.[Name] AS 'Case Name', tp.[Name] AS 'Export Name', tp.StatusID, ts.Name AS 'Status', tp.CreateDate AS 'Create Date' FROM tblProduction tp JOIN tblCase tc ON tc.CaseID = tp.CaseID JOIN tblStatus ts ON ts.StatusID = tp.StatusID The status ID is 51. I have restarted the Accelerator manager serviceand even rebooted the server, no luck. Any help would be much appreciated.2KViews0likes4Commentsdsacls command not working
Hi all, We have Windows Server 2003 Domain Controllers, the Forest Functional level is also 2003;we have deployed Exchange 2010, and EV 10.0.4 into production. before we turn on Journal archiving and use Discovery Accelerator in production, we are trying to test it first in our labs. As one of the pre-requistites for DA, we are running the following dsacls command:- dsacls "CN=Deleted Objects,DC=domain,DC=com" /takeownership this generates the following error "Parameter /takeownership was unexpected" My questions are:- 1) Do we really need to issue this command (we get a warning about it later in the istallation process) ? 2) Any ideas what is wrong with the command.. is it to do with the Domain Controllers being on Windows Server 2003 ? Any help is much apreciated regards JimSolved1.9KViews0likes1CommentSync Validation in Discovery Accelerator - Still an issue?
Symantec Team, It seems the issue with Sync Validation in Discovery Accelerator still continues to show up even in 10.0.4 CHF3. Here's a link to previous thread but I again ran into a customer who has their hold release sitting in the "Idle" state and had a million items in"Remaining Items". After turning off Sync Validation in the DA settings, the issue immediately went away. My understanding was that this was supposed to be fixed in 10.0.2? https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/change-legal-hold-process-da-904-cu2-1002-cu2567Views0likes1CommentPrompt For Connection CA &DA

It mentions the ISAPI (and we tried the solution for that) When running the browser as administrator, says you ar trying to run this pge on a server with UAC enabled. Installation ran fine. EV on same server works as do all the web pages (without errors) It is the initial DA configuration page that does not load/display. Not an upgrade - original installation (EV10 SP4) Windows 2008 R2673Views0likes3CommentsDiscovery Accelerator: Error converting data type timestamp into numeric
Has anyone seen or know how to resolve the above error? DA is installed on a Windows 2008 r2 box. Haven't found anything in google. Frequently when starting the client it fails to connect to the customer database with this error. Recently I did work with support to create a new configuration database and then connected the customer database to that. It was perhaps a day before it started throwing this error.Solved1KViews0likes4CommentsDiscovery Accelerator Template No Longer Exists?
Hey folks. I have a new dialog box popping up since an upgrade to version 10 of Discovery Accelerator. Has anyone seen this: Browsing Searches The template on which you based this search no longer exists and cannot be used as a template as the basis for future searches. That message only appears when a search result is rejected. After hitting okay to that notification, I'm taken back to the search options and can save the search to run it again and it runs fine. The reason I'm rejecting the search is because I'm doing some EV 10 index upgrades and sometimes a search goes off while I'm doing that which causes some index search errors that I don't want to saved in a case.1.5KViews0likes5Comments
