Team, Can somebody help me with this. We are currently using SEV and our management has asked us to migrate to BMA. Can you please help with me some documents or some questionnaires or some checklist which needs to be considered for this migration ? Any road-blocks or specific issues ? I have a business requirement to export terminated employee mail data from Enterprise VaultPST. This is not going to change, it's an absolute requirement.We have all otheroffboarding tasks automated, runningfrom a single script (Homedrive, AD, live mailbox, Finance and HR systems records). Doeseither EV10 or EV11 included a command linetoolto perform an export to PST? I know this has been asked before in the connectforums forEV8 and EV9, however.... There is an obvious need to provide the functionality! Nothing worse than using the wizard over and over again for 20 - 30 off boards a day, especially when everything else is automated.If the Archives are20-40GB, this can take a very long time with someone checking on the progess. Scheduled PST migration with automatic mailbox association
Hi there, we got a big bunch of PST files to migrate, but we are searching for the weapon of choice (of the inbuilt tools). I already found this very good overview from Rob.Wilcox https://www.veritas.com/community/articles/pst-migration-enterprise-vault We got the PST files already in place, but I would like to drive an automatic mailbox association. So I guess the scripted migration would be the right choice. But as it is a bigger bunch of PST files I would like to use the PST migrator task (if possible) as it can be scheduled and would be able to skip the backup mode. Remove Another Users Mailbox from Archive Explorer

Hi, I want to setup ADFS between two domain Active Directory domain. Client A enviroment: Exchange server (SMTP Journal Archive), AD (user object and exchange object), Sharepoint farms, DA clients ClientB enviroment (hosting EV services): Different AD domain, EV servers and DA server ClientA want to have this setup due to IT security requirement, and they want to have ADFS to provide SSO for DA client access to DA server, and EV server SSO to sharepoint farm for SHA. How does EV know not to target aready-archived items
Hi Guys, We are migrating from an older EV environment to a newer one using a third-party migration tool which will change the shortcuts as it moves the archived items.The following question came up: - How does EV know that an item is already archived so it does not try to re-archive a shortcut in the new EV environment? a) Does the archiving task do a scan every time and check message classes hence bypassing EV shortcut message classes? b) Or does it keep tab somewhere in an sql table for items already archived? How Remove the Place holder or X-Mark from the files.
Hello, I am facing an issue to restore all files from FSAUtility,I am using the following command to restore in the same location. C:\program files (x86)\enterprise vault>fsautility -b -s "\\pbad-emdesign\EM_Design\SHAMIYAH" -recurse or C:\program files (x86)\enterprise vault>fsautility -t-s "\\pbad-emdesign\EM_Design\SHAMIYAH" -f and i getting the below error. FSA Data Mover Utility. Symantec Enterprise Vault. Copyright (c) 2010. Symantec Corporation. Bulk Recall of Placeholders Folder : \\pbad-emdesign.pbad.sbg.com.sa\EM_Design\SHAMIYAH Processing file list... 100% XML Log file generated. There were errors with Bulk recall, See the log file for details: C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\Reports\FSAUtility\EV_FILESYSTEM_UTILITY_LOG_20150826162228.xml Done. I am unable to remove the Place Holder from the files, please find the attachment.
