Backup entire Users folder
Hello, I was wondering if there was a way to either backup the entire Users folder on OS X or to be able to set a path variable like Windows. I am trying to backup OneDrive data that is placed under the user folder. I can easily specify a user directory such as /Users/John/OneDriveBusiness but to do that for nearly 100 users isn't an option. In Windows I am able to utilize a path variable of %USERNAME% to grab each user's files. In OS X, the same command does not work. I tried UNIX variables such as $USER and $LOGNAME without success. Thinking I would be able to grab the entire /Users folder by specifiying /Users, but it doesn't seem to get the entire profile. The admin guide does not go into detail for Macs as it does for Windows. Any help is appreciated.
DLO updates or upgrades : news and download page
Hello, Is there an article or a page on connect that sum-up all the news and download links for DLO ? We have a page for NBU which is quite convenient, but I wasn't able to find something for DLO. (in fact I've just found this page) http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=landing&key=61042 Are we supposed to receive an email when an update has been published ? Thanks for your help,
How to auto re-create synced files from DLO clients ?
Hello, I would like to recreate a readable directory of all my DLO clients files. Ie : the same as the storage location, but with un-encrypted, un-compressed and merge version files Main idea is to add this folder in the backup selection. If I do this with the storage location, I'll just get un-readable files. And I'll need to use CLI to recreate the files. It would be easier if it is done by default, without the CLI step. Thanks,
