I will shutdown the sytsems this way: 1. passive Cluster node 2. aktiv cluster node 3. first san controller 4. second san controller 5. both storage's 6. FB switche and the restart this way: 1. FB switche 2. both storage's 3. both storage san controller 4. both cluster node's Are there any things i have to regard? Do the VEA start the to resync after the restart for hours? or it will only reconnect. I hope you can help me. Thank you!1.8KViews0likes3CommentsHow to adda node to the cluster SFWHA

Hi Everybody! I have 2 clusters A & B with a single node at each one ( I am using the components of VVR and GCO). So I am wonderabout thethe possibility of installing VCS 6.0 and SEPM 11(single server member of the cluster A), and install VCS 6.0 and SEP client mode 11in the other server (this server is member of cluster B). if so, what Ishouldtake care to avoid interference of each other? Hi all: I need a solution, please help, thank you. Environment: Main site windows 2008 R2 + DR site Windows 2008 R2 SFHA6.0 Requirements: Between the two sites do data replication using VVR But our IT system does not have a disk array, we need to use the PC server's local disk storage space do VCS application resource group. But VCS resource group does not support the server's local disk, VCS Configuration Wizard only supports Cluster disk group. What mode of operation can be achieved using PC Server local disk and DR VVR do it?Solved1.2KViews1like2CommentsWindows Gui Permissions
Hi all, I'm new to the forums, so please let me know any other information that is normally helpfull. I have recently been on site to a customer to install SFWHA 6.0.1 on a Windows 2008 R2 server. However, after completing the installation and going to configure items within Enterprise Administrator I am continually confronted by the message reporting "insufficient privileges" when trying to run any task. I have confirmed that the account I am signed in with is a member of the local Administrator group, and the UNC is disabled, but the message continues to appear. To get around the issue during installation I have been able to complete the installation from the command prompt, which hasn't even needed to be "run as administrator". The Gui window is showing all of my changes but still won’t allow me to complete any wizards. Has anyone come across this before? The site I am on is using many group policy options and the question has been raised on if there are any pre-requisites on these? Or if these wouldn't have an impact. The only test that I wasn't able to complete was to get logged on with just the local administrator account, or with a full system administrator account. However, even if doing this were to prove the system works, the question would still remain asking what is preventing the original account from working. Here I have the list of firewall port requirement for GCO https://sort.symantec.com/public/documents/sfha/6.0.1/aix/productguides/html/vcs_install/apas01.htm we are using 4 IP's at one site and each of the will be from same subnet . physical IP- 192.168.1.xxx. Cluster IP-192.168.1.xxx. App IP-192.168.1.xxx. VVR IP.-192.168.1.xxx. This is for primary site and DR site will different subnet and IP. my question is what are the ports to be open on firewall against physical IP,Cluster IP,APP IP etc. since our last project we faced some issues and we enabled all required ports against all IP's.
