Cannot do searches in discovery accelerator (no search ability at all)
Hi guys We recently purchased discovery accelerator and much to my dismay it has become incredibly urgent to have this product up and running within days due to a legal requirement. I have installed and got this up and running with 0 install issues at all, but now when it's time to create a test case, I hit a brick wall, I can't search at all. There is no search options. I feel like i've missed something really silly here in the configuration phase. I've setup a configuration database, a customer database (on a seperate database server to the EV server database) and installed the client. Now when I connect and create a case I see the below. and running through the install and admin guides seem to just say 'click on case then go to the searching tab....' I'm really scratching my head trying to figure what i have missed. However, I'm also in the unfortunate position that I have someone telling me that if it's not working in 24 hours, begin a manual export/search/sort of pst files :S Any help much appreciated. Environment Discovery accelerator 8.0SP3 Enterprise vault 8.0SP3 Win 2k8 Standard x64 sp2 on app and database EV and DA databases are seperate servers. DA 11 no customer database update
Unfortunately I did not follow these instructions from the beginning. So I started to install a dedicated EV 11 server from the install media by using the install wizard. This server came on top to our 3 server environment with EV 10 (plus additional SQL server), where each server got a dedicated task. One for FSA, one for indexing, one for archiving. In general I wouldn't mix up the EV versions, but as the DA server holds non of the above mentioned services and we are going to upgrade to EV 11 in the near future I decided to install the EV11 basics with DA 11 Then I followed the instructions here above and I could go through it smoothly. I could successfully create a customer database, but interestingly the database is not able to update. Error message in evbaadmin: ExecuteNonQuery requires an open and available Connection. EV discovery accelerator
Hi All, kindly i need your help, i installed EV discovery accelerator 11, but am not able to connect to http://localhost/evbaadmin/, it give me the below error "You are viewing this site without administrator privileges. Multiple DA servers in a single EV site
Hi, Looking for input on this question: Customer has a single EV site but 2 EV servers in US and EU, with local SQL servers used for storing VS DB's in US and EU. Would like to implement DA serves in both locations. Should I configure 2 separate DA config DB's and 2 customer DB's for US and EU? Is that permitted? If not, can I use the same config DB and separate customer DB's for each location? Any help would be appreicated. FYI. We had the below issue occur twice in different environments. This might or might not be happening to you, but if it does, you know now... Starting situation: Windows 2008 R2 x64 standard edition (EV and SQL server). SQL 2008R2SP2 standard edition, with log-shipping as DR solution (replication). Enterprise Vault 9.0SP4, and DA9SP4 Upgrade DA9SP4 to DA10SP4 - upgrade config-database, upgrade customer-db, verify evbaadmin is ok, verify DA10SP4 client connects ok. Apply CHF1 for DA10SP4 - upgrade etc. Verify DA10SP4CHF1 client connects ok. Logoff. Monitor SQL logshipping. You might see error: The log shipping primary database PROD SQL SERVER\INSTANCE.xxxEVDACM has backup threshold of 60 minutes and has not performed a backup log operation for 61 minutes. I installed and configured CA 10.0.4. I created a couple searches under the application tab but they are not showing up under the Monitor tab. I created a daily search with a schedule and it hasn't done anything. Io also created an immediate search to search for everything from 2013 and after I submitted the search it didn't start and I'm unable to find any searches under the monitor tab. After Upgrade to 10.0.4 Compliance Accelerator is seeing 10.0.3 binaries
I upgraded CA and DA to 10.0.4 and all was well and then upgraded Enterprise Vault to 10.0.4. Though the accelerator service starts I get errors when the client attempts to retrieve instances A problem occured while retrieving the list of instances from 'server' localhost. The Accelerator service is either not running or the server could not be contacted. The event viewer has the following two entries Event ID 201 APP Undefined - Initialisation of the Accelerator Manager Failed. I recently installed and configured Compliance Accelerator 9.0.4 but I need to get reporting up and running. When I go to the reporting tab it says "Disconnected from report server". I'm assuming I need to install SQL Reporting services.
