The userid and password are admin and password Master server version reports NetBackup 3.4 incorrectly After Windows Reboot, OpsCenter fails to start. Fix is to Restart the Authentication Service then start the OpsCenter Services. Pop-Up Blocker prevents the OpsCenter interface from initializing. Turn off Pop-Up blocker to run OpsCenter. On 64 bit windows systems, OpsCenter install or upgrade might fail. Install "VC2005 x86" from the DVD (<DVD Drive>\x86\Server\Prerequisites\vcredist_x86.exe) If OpsCenter installation failed due to any reason, the roolback and cleanup may not happen correctly in some scenarios. The fix is to execute the command “ SC DELETE OPSCENTERSERVER” The Windows/Solaris installation will fail if the OpsCenter host is not part of any domain name. (host is not qualified with a suffix such as “min.veritas.com”) Workaround: The solution is to add a domain suffix and then re-install Drive throughput and Drive utilization reports don’t work in some scenarios Creation of a custom report doesn’t work if user chooses Absolute timeframe option Deduplication reports (Size factor, Protected Size vs. Backed up Size, Size Savings reports) don’t work in a PDDE environment. They only work in a standalone PureDisk environment. I wanted all of guys to share new experience in working Netbackup 7.0. Share us the New Finding/Errors.
Downloading the trail version of veritas netbackup 7
In 2010, in which address Icould downloadthe trail versionof veritas netbackup 7? I've been using veritas netbackup 6.5.4 + vmware vshpere, using the vdr tobackup vms. Backuping vms with Netbackup 6.5.4 require too much disk space. VDR can not back up other content in windows, resulting in I had two data backup centers. Depressed. Hi. We have Veritas Netbackup 6.5 and we are having problems with the tapes. Netbackup do not eject the tapes until they are full. We need that the tapes are ejected after the job are completed for audit porpuse. Is their a way that we can change something in the configuration so Netbackup do this? Netbackup 7 - BMR for Solaris X64 Problem (SRT Creation ERROR)
Hi All, MyNetbackup master server: Solaris 10 Update 8, x64 + Netbackup 7 Itried to use Solaris 10 Update 5,6,7,8 to create the SRT for Solaris BMR but all fails. Below is the log. I have a example that I want to share about Media Multiplexing; PS-MPX - Policy Media Multiplexing TD-MPX - Tape Media Multiplexing Example TD-MPX = 30 Policy A - PS-MPX = 2 Policy B - PS-MPX = 8 Policy A - 4 Jobs Policy B - 10 Jobs Stage 1 - Policy A kicks off: P(A) - Jobs 1 and 2 are active and Jobs 3 and 4 are queued. Policy B kick off 5 minutes later:P(B) - Jobs 1 to 6 are active, Job 7-10 are queued Status: 8 Jobs active and 6 Jobs queued. Stage 2 - Policy A - Job 1 completes, but Policy B - Job 7 becomes active. Status: 8 Jobs active 5 Jobs queued, 1 Job complete. Stage 3 - Policy A - Job 2 completes, Jobs 3 - 4 will be still queued. Policy B - Job 8 becomes active. Status: 8 Jobs active 4 Jobs queued 2 Jobs complete. Stage 4 - Policy B - Jobs 1-6 completes - Jobs 9 and 10 become active. Policy A - Jobs 3 and 4 are queued. Status:4 Jobs Active 2 Jobs queued and 8 Jobs complete. Stage 5- Policy B - Jobs 7-9 completes. Policy A - Job 3 becomes active and Job 4 is queued. Status: 2 Jobs Active, 1 Job queued and 11 Jobs complete Stage 6 - Policy B - Job 10 completes, Policy A - Job 3 still running and Job 4 becomes active. The question I ask, how is the media multiplexing working on the tape? The policy that hows the greater PS-MPX 90 % of the time will always finish first. The lower PS-MPX have a difficult time in competing for tape resources. I am looking forward to any response on this?
