SBS2003+Exchange --> GRT Backup auf RDX+überschreiben
Hallo Community! Wir setzen aktuell einen SBS 2003 inkl. Exchange ein. Auf diesem System läuft BE 11d. Vielen Dank vorab!Solved6.8KViews1like4CommentsBackupExec & EMC Datadomain
Hello; Nowadays I need to implement a deduplicated disk based backup&recovery solution for a clustered vmware system which is hosting exchange 2010 and AD servers... I have to decide how to position deduplication and backup software solutions together. In some articles I see that Symantec Backupexec and/or Netbackup is used with EMC Datadomain EMC Datadomain has deduplication feature and it's used also as a backup/recovery software. If I buy EMC Datadomain, will I need to another software Symantec Backupexec or Netbackup ? Both Backupexec and Netbackup has "deduplication" feature. If I prefer Backupexec, what's the advantage of Datadomain as an additional appliance?4.5KViews1like5CommentsGranular backups for Exchange failing
Granular backups used to work just fine. Now for the last few months it appears that they are not working correctly anymore. The detailed status on the backup jobs show the following warning: "Warning bpbrm (pid=5296) from client DAG01: WRN - unable to setup NBFSD credentials, disabling granular backups". The job completes, but with a status of '1' and obviously granular restores are not available when trying to restore using that backup job. I have searched and searched and the only things I am finding on the internet relate to setting up NFS. I have verified that NFS is setup correctly. So this is not the issue. Any ideas about what the likely cause may be? Netbackup 7.5 Exchange 2010 running on windows 2008 r2 ....using a DAG.Solved4.2KViews1like5CommentsBackup Exec 2014 Job Rate is to slow
Last week I was checking how the weekend backups were going and I seen that Backups for our Hyper-V Exchange server have been running for almost 3 days. The Exchange backup looked like it finished but the Catalog job rate wasunder 200mb. Everything was going great for months and this happened. I installed the last service pack and restarted all the servers and it's still doing the same thing. The Job rate starts our really good and then slows to a crawl. Right now it's backing up Exchange databases and log files. I haven't been able to run any backups on the local machine since it's set to only run 1 job at a time. Here is our setup: 1 Physical Server - Server 2012 2 Hyper-Vm - Exchange and our Appserver (only has sharepoint which is empty) Backup Exec 2014 Right now we are backing up to a 5tb Seagate External which so far hasn't had any throughput issues. Any ideas?3.1KViews1like8CommentsExchange 2010 archive db backup fail

Hello, I'm having an issue with my exchange server backups. 1 Master server, Netbackup 6.5.6 is installed on Solaris 10 2 Exchange 2007 server installed on Win2008 in a cluster. Has exchange client 6.5.4 installed on both. I'm a UNIX admin and don't know much about exchange at all. I don't have any rights on the Exchange server at all. The errors I see in the job details point to Snapshots. Errors in the Detailed Status (103) Critical bpbrm (pid=13222) from client exchange_server: FTL - snapshot preparation failed - Replica is not healthy for entire filelist and configuration does not allow to attempt backup of active instance., status 103 Critical bpbrm (pid=13222) from client exchange_server: FTL - snapshot preparation failed, status 103 end Snapshot: Create Snapshot; elapsed time 0:00:24 Errors in the Detailed Status (13) begin Snapshot: Validate image Operation Status: 0 end Snapshot: Validate image; elapsed time 0:00:01 begin Snapshot: Delete Snapshot started process bpbrm (pid=11968) end writing Operation Status: 13 end Parent Job; elapsed time 0:43:33 file read failed (13) I need to make sure the UNIX/Master Server side is working. If I need to do something on the exchange server please let me know so I can ge a Windows Admin to do it. We are also getting error 13 on our Windows fileservers as well. I also need to know how the snapshots are done? Is this handed by the Master servewr or the client? Sometimes when the exchange backup jobs runs over night i get the message below: Completed status: Failed Final error: 0xe000038a - The specified Logon Account credentials do not have the necessary Powershell permissions that are needed to complete the job. I’m running into one hold up with how I need to use the Vault of a Shared Mailbox. When logged into Outlook as the shared mailbox profile everything works as expected, I can move emails into the Vault, delete emails in the Vault, etc. However, when I’m logged into Outlook with my individual profile I cannot add emails to the shared mailbox vault. I can see At the very minimum I need to be able to have everyone with access to the shared mailbox be able to put emails into the shared vault while logged into outlook under their individual profiles. Ideally all shared mailbox users would also be able to delete email from the shared mailbox vault while logged into with their individual profiles. Is it possible to set the Vault up this way?
