Hi All, Could you assist on this. If DLO can backup data (include email) to PST file, real time? How about Desktop and Laptop Option, does it fits on our requirement? Requirements: 1. Email Backup from end user workstations (Email Hosting Company doesn’t allow third party software to be installed in their server) 2. We would like to explore Desktop and Laptop Option capabilities and features to benefit our Company. We all also like to know the requirements and advantages on setting up Desktop and Laptop Option, like: -Host Computer Specification -HDD Capacity, what are the backup file format, is it compressed? -Security thru AD? -etc. Thanks in advance..
GHOST 2003 slow after new motherboard
I have a Dell Precision Workstation 650 with U320 SCSI controller and 2 HD's The capacitors on the motherboard leaked. So I replace the MB with exact same model of F1262. I swapped the two Xeon CPU chips and 2GB ECC RAM modules I am using the built-in LSI SCSI U320 controller. The original Motherboard did Disk-to-Disk Ghost in 35 minutes for 8 years. Now the exact same Ghost Boot Floppy does Disk-to-Disk Ghost in 1 hour 10 Minutes??? The speed per Ghost is now 400 MB / min. The BIOS POST finds two SCSI drives and both are: SYNC column = 320.0 WIDE column = 16 That looks GOOD ? I have the same BIOS A05 in both MB's. I have the same LSI Firmware in both MB's Both HD's are ST336753LWCheetah, 15K RPM, 36 GB, 68 Pin (same drives as before) All (F2) BIOS settings are identical All (Ctrl-A) SCSI settings are the identical I tried a round 3 device U320 SCSI Cable instead of flat cable - still slow. What coud have happened ?
Symantec Desktop & Laptop Option ?
Hello everyone, Our organization have 40 desktops, now my boss want to backup files and folders (mostly MS Office file) on those desktops to a NAS on the system. I want to ask if Symantec Desktop & Laptop Option can do this ? Can it schedule backup tasks like Monday it will do Full Backup and from Tuesday to Sunday it will do Incremental Backup ? Can it do Granular Recovery file and folder on each desktop ? If it not, what Symantec Solutions can do this ? Thank you & Best regards.
SDLO 7.6 unable to create Storage Location.
Hi, We have the following infra. Server OS - Win 2012 R2. Storage OS - Win 2012 Storage R2. SDLO - 7.6 Unable to create a new stortage location on to a NAS storage .. The following error is given. ********************** "Unable to create the x:\XXdirectory on computer 'xxxmachine'. Please check the path does not reside on a read-only device such as CD-Rom drive and that DLO database service logon account has sufficient permission to create the directory. You can change the logon account via the service control panel. Service returen error coder 0xeee0278." **************************** PLease, help... Boot Guard
Hello I performed a system recovery using a Toshiba Driver CD. During the reboot phase, BootGuard started flashing in the left hand corner. I tried the system recover 3 times and this BootGuard is preventing the recovery to proceed. I have read, called and looked through blog after blog - calling Symantec does not help - they know not what I am talking about; however, the issue is obviously their encryption PGP software as many techinical support have responded to others that have indicated this issue. If anyone could respond, it would be greatly appreciated. Laura
