FSA Archiving Question
Hi, Just want to check if FSA can archive a folder is EV Service account doesn't have explicit access permission on files and fodler level? Service account is local administrator though. But some fodlers has unique permissions and EVSVC doesn't have access to those folder. As far as I understand FSA should be able to archive those folder, can anyone please confirm? Many ThanksSolved914Views4likes3CommentsEnterprise Vault 11 Beta Program

I have an EV mailbox archiving server and an exchange server in domain A and recently installed a new Exchange server in domain B. Domain B mailbox are being archived over the Cloud. I have recently migrated few mailbox from Exchange in domain A to new Exchange in domain B but would require these migrated users to access their archives sitting on EV server in domain A. If I understood correctly, all I need to do is to add the domain B Exchange in to EV in domain A, create a provisioning task (but no archiving task as this mailbox is being archived over the cloud) for it? Please stamp my understanding...1KViews3likes4CommentsExchange Mailbox Analyzer
Hello Guys, Can you please tell me if EMA scans mailbox DB and public folders DB in Exchange 2013 SP1? I've ran the analyzer, but it gave me a 350Gb DB which is totally different from 800Gb reported by the exchange. From those 800Gb, the customer told me that about 200Gb are public folders. Anyway, even with 200Gb summed with our 350Gb that is not the total of 800Gb reported. What can this be? White Space? Thank you. Kind regards, NS566Views3likes0CommentsCan you set size on Vault store partition?
Hi, I have large volumes 8TB+ and was looking at setting Vault store partion to Tape size of 2.35TB, however there appers to be no option to set the rollover for Vault partion size just the Disk volume size. I would prefer this to be auto rather then me doing it manualy since we have over 80TB to archive So the idea is that for each Disk Volume I have 3 Partions (Ptn1,Ptn2 and Ptn3) of 2.35TB each leaving 16% for operations disk volume, and get them to roll over to the next automaticaly once prtitions are filled up. cheers736Views3likes4CommentsHow to use Veritas Quick Assist to diagnose and correct technical issues with Enterprise Vault
As of June 2, 2014, Support for Enterprise Vault was added to the Veritas Quick Assist diagnostic tool. To support a business need, the Knowledge Management team created three descriptive articles about the tool. The articles have been designed to empower the customer to diagnose system related issues as well as encourage self-resolution. The articles, specifically designed for Enterprise Vault, contain screen shots walking the customer through the process. Due to the amount of information the content has been separated into three articles: How to use Veritas Quick Assist to diagnose and correct technical issues with Enterprise Vault Illustrates the Home tab of the application 000095758 How to use the Report tab of Veritas Quick Assist to review scan results and correct issues with Enterprise Vault Illustrates the Report tab of the application 000042530 How to use the Information tab of Veritas Quick Assist to review scan results and correct issues with Enterprise Vault Illustrates the Information tab of the application 000042551 Note: For quick reference, 000095758 was added to each of the eight Enterprise Vault Product Landing Pages.660Views3likes0CommentsMultiple Sites Permissions
Hi All, Scenario: Two Enterprise vault server sites, each one contains its own ev server, exchange server, storage etc.. Same directory database for both of the sites Which means - all of the ev services (on both sited) run with the same vault service account. Request: manage each site with a different user and use the vault service account only in extreme cases, such as configuration changes and cross site issues. Is it possible? I've published an article on SymConnect which is a must have document for......well....actually anyone who works with Enterprise Vault. The compendium could be considered an essential beginers guide for EV so you know where all the cool stuff is, links....documents...videos which will make your life so much easier as you start to lean about Enterprise Vault. Equally, you might be an EV die hard administrator or consultant but I would still say you'll find this useful just as an aide memoir if nothing else. Whoever your are or what ever you do in the world of Enterprise Vault, go and grab the document here. http://www.symantec.com/connect/articles/enterprise-vault-2013-information-compendium297Views3likes1Comment
