Missing PST options in Admin Console
Hi, After upgrading to version 15.1, we noticed that some menu options are missing in the Administration Console. Specifically, the Personal Storage Management section is no longer expandable and only shows the PST Dashboard, with no access to the PST Overview or other related options. Has anyone else encountered this issue, or does anyone have a solution?28Views0likes2CommentsDiscovery Accelerator exports.... .msg vs .eml
I'm working with EV 12.5.3 and Discovery Accelerator 12 doing some searches for our legal department. I'm having problems with the resulting PST files that I am exporting from DA. Some of the messages in the resulting PST cannot be opened in the Outlook preview pane. The displayed error is "This file cannot be previewed because there is no previewer installed for it". Upon closer inspection, I'm seeing that all of the messages that can't be viewed in the preview pane are actually in the generic .eml format and NOT in Outlooks native .msg format. After doing some research, I believe this is happening because we switched from Exchange journal mailbox targeted archiving to SMTP archiving last fall. All the more recent messages look to be the ones in .eml format. The problem is that, due to how our legal department is reviewing these search results (NOT in DA unfortunately), having to open every individual message in its own window instead of viewing it in the Outlook preview pane causes a huge increase in the amount of time it takes them to perform their review. Has anyone run into this problem before with .eml formatted messages, and do you have any creative solutions to this problem... something like a different export method, an add-in for outlook that can preview .eml's, maybe using a different mail client to review in? While i'm fairly certain the answer will probably be "Do your reviews in DA", there are other reasons why that is not feasible at the time that I won't get into here. Hoping to get some input from other community members on this problem and see if anyone has any ideas. Thanks everyone! Matt999Views0likes1CommentPST Export Issue - No Errors & No Files Exported
Hello! We are looking to export our legal hold data out of a EV12.1 environment we acquired through an acquisition. The archive PST export wizard and PowerShell commands seem straight-forward enough, but we can't get the exports to work at all. With either method, the export processes and finishes with no errors, but no files are actually exported. Example outputs below. ====Export Wizard Output File==== Archive Name: ExampleArchive Archive Id: 1BExampleevsite Output Directory: Y:\Example Format: PST Maximum Threads: 16 Maximum PST Size: 51200MB Retry: False The export has completed. Hi I have been looking to imports hundreds of PSTs that are stored on a flat file system. I ended up developing a powershell script to perform the job. It takes a template ini file or an existing ini file as input. Based on the type of ini file provided it will either generate a new ini file to be used for importing or just use existing ini file provided. It will target a folder containing all the PSTs. Detailed help provided within the script. I have attached, the script, template ini and ini generated by the script. Hopefully this helps the EV community. Any suggestions are welcome. Hi all, I just imported an PST using the PST Migration Wizzard, and ticked "Yes, create shortcuts in associated mailboxes". Import runs fine, all 17,811 items were imported into the archive, but only 14,812 shortcuts were pushed into user's Exchange mailbox. Status of the import was "PSTs successfully migrated", no events written. Does anybody knows the reason? Is there additional information, which I should supply? Thanks in advance, Sönke2.3KViews0likes6CommentsEnterprise Vault 11.0.1 Advanced Search option limitations
Enterprise Vault 11.0.1 Advanced Search option limitations. I created a mailbox search that returned just over 1200 hits. I want to export the resultant messages to a PST but that is not an option. Also, it it only allows me to select 200 items to export to a ZIP file. Is there a way I can send all results to a PST through the GUI or the CLI in a nice easy fashion? This seems like a typical desire. Can anyone help? It's Always Something...1.5KViews0likes3Commentshelp needed on exporting search result to pst (exchange server no longer exists)
Hello, I have a question regarding Enterprise Vault. Here’s a little background: We have Enterprise Vault 9.0.4.1097 (64bits) that was used to archive Exchange 2007. We did a project to migrate all our mailboxes to Office365. A new Exchange 2013 was built to setup an Hybrid solution with Office365. We asked our users to bring back their important emails from the Vault to their mailbox Mailboxes were migrated from Ex2007 to 2013 and then to Office365. After all mailboxes were migrated, Ex2007 was decommissioned but Ent Vault was kept in case we needed to search for missing emails. The search function works fine (we essentially use for journal mailbox). EV was supposed to be decommissioned in January 2017 but we were asked to wait… Exchange 2013 is still operational. We are at a point that journaling mailbox search is not sufficient : we would need to export the search result to PST. This, doesn’t seem to be doable without the original Ex2007 journal mailbox. What would be the better option for us? Reinstall a new Ex2007 and recreate a mailbox for the destination of the PST? Migrate Vault to a version compatible to Exchange 2013? Is there any EV Powershell commands that would allow us to export the search results to PST without the use of Exchange? Any suggestions? Thank you!1.1KViews0likes1Comment
