How to update Backup Exec Remote Agent For Windows System_
Hi all! I'm excperiencing connecting problems during night becakup to random clients - V-79-57344-65072 "the connection to target system has been lost". I've checked Backup Exec RAWS version at media server as well as on all remote systems - it's 13.0.5204.109. The Backup Exec RAWS version on the media server in newer than enywhere else - it's 13.0.5204.114. In order to try to resolve this issue I want to update agents first. Is it possible to do it automaticly? The uninstallation process and push install doesn't help - the older version is installed.15KViews1like18Comments0x80004005 - Unspecified error

Has anyone else experienced after updating to the latest push from LiveUpdate for BackupExec 2014 the BackupExec Server service not starting? I thought at first it was an issue isolated to one of my servers but it seems that the same issue has arisen after another site ran LiveUpdate and is experiencing the same issue. I'm running Backup Exec 2014 on Windows Server 2012 R2. Everything has been running fine prior to the LiveUpdate. Any response or help is appreciated.Solved7KViews1like9CommentsIBM tape library TS-3100 get offline randomly once in a month

Hi, When taking image backups i am getting the particular error. Even the Full Image backups doesnt work. Image Backups-Incremental Image Backups-Daily -- The job failed with the following error: Incremental\\Differential backup methods are not supported for this VM. The backup job failed, since the option 'to fall back to a full backup' was not selected. I logged a case with Symantec support and they said each VM should have an agent installed whether you need to take a GRT backup or just an image backup. Secondly they said all VMs must have hardware version7 inorder to do an incremental backup inorder to allow change block tracking feature within VMware. As a first step I am trying to push the RAWS agent to each VM. While installing agents on some VMs i am getting the following error 'install failed with error code 1603' I checked firewall settings and they are disabled. Ok, next question... One of our servers, that happens to be a backup domain controller, we're using to run test backups with the trial version of 2010. The system logon account (which is same as system account right now) being used to backup this dc is a member of the domain admin group which in turn is a member of the administrators group. We have even tried with another domain admin account and get same results. Have followed the error link and tried solutions but no luck... ...and we keep getting following errors on the test jobs: Error category : Security Errors Error : e000fe7d - Access is denied. To back up or restore System State, administrator privileges are required. For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-65149 We have also turned on AOFO (thanks pkh). Dear All, I have a really strange problem with the LiveUpdate (3.3.0.69) for Backup Exec 2010 MP1 running under Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard (64bit). After a clean installation of the server with the OS and a clean installation of Backup Exec 2010 MP1 (13.0.2896) the first thing I tried was to run the LiveUpdate. It directly connects to the Symantec Servers... ... and find all the necessary updates. If I proceed with a click on "Next" it starts the download but stops always exactly after 3500 KB... ... after some seconds the error message LU1835: Connection to the LiveUpdate server failed appears. I'm connecting to LiveUpdate via a Proxy Server. I already added http://*.symantec.com and http://liveupdate.symantecliveupdate.com to the Trusted Sites within Internet Explorer I already checked the articel "How to determine whether your firewall is blocking LiveUpdate" with the result that everything is fine and nothing got blocked from the firewall I already increased the time for time-out value for HTTP downloads with the result that the error message LU1835 will be displayed later. I also already uninstalled LiveUpdate, rebooted the server, made a clean installation of LiveUpdate and run a repair of Backup Exec without any further result. If I try to download a hotfix smaller than 3500 KB (like Hotfix 354911 with ~ 3,1 MB) it works fine for that hotfix - but no luck for any (single) hotfix > 3,5 MB At the same time a LiveUpdate runs fine via the same network/same proxy on a Windows Server 2003 R2 and Backup Exec 12.5 installed on it. Here it's e.g. no problem to download SP4 (> 100 MB) for BE12.5 via LiveUpdate, so this is why I do not believe that the problem is related to our internet connection. Any ideas as I'm running out of them...? Kind regards, SGSolved3.7KViews1like37CommentsBackup Exec 2014 SP2 – Release Notes and Technical Information
