How to recover data from files with .upload.temp extensions
A user at my company recently crashed his hard drive. When I tried to do a restore from the Desktop Laptop Option (DLO) i did not seen any files to restore. When I checked his storage area on the server I could see files, some 100MB or biggger but they all had .upoad.tmp extensions. Is there a way to turn these into normal readable data files?
Trying to Restore a file backed up from a NDMP policy type
Hello, Even though my restore job completes successful - no file(s) are being restored. I tried restoring both just the individual file itself and the entire directory folder where the file exist.. I do see some errors in the job details and was wondering if I could get some assistance on what to do next. We have a master/media server on a unix oracle solaris 10 environment. The file Im trying to restore was backed up from our oracle 7120 zfs storage applicance and was backed up as NDMP type. All backups have finished successfully. Symantec Desktop & Laptop Option ?
Hello everyone, Our organization have 40 desktops, now my boss want to backup files and folders (mostly MS Office file) on those desktops to a NAS on the system. I want to ask if Symantec Desktop & Laptop Option can do this ? Can it schedule backup tasks like Monday it will do Full Backup and from Tuesday to Sunday it will do Incremental Backup ? Can it do Granular Recovery file and folder on each desktop ? If it not, what Symantec Solutions can do this ? Thank you & Best regards.

Buenas Tenemos una duda con el Symantec DLO console,estamos implementando el proceso de deduplicacion o Dedupe lo pusimos a correr en un perfil y repetidamente han salidos varios usuarios con error y alertas donde muesta que el Back up IP does not exist, lo que me gustaria saber es por que sale ese error si el archivo esta a la ves siendo localizado y respaldado pero cuando se modifica muestra ese error gracias y espero su ayuda, si el error les parece tedioso me pueden preguntar para aclarar
How to auto re-create synced files from DLO clients ?
Hello, I would like to recreate a readable directory of all my DLO clients files. Ie : the same as the storage location, but with un-encrypted, un-compressed and merge version files Main idea is to add this folder in the backup selection. If I do this with the storage location, I'll just get un-readable files. And I'll need to use CLI to recreate the files. It would be easier if it is done by default, without the CLI step. Thanks,
