Problem description : Backup failed with error code 71 (EXIT STATUS 71: none of the files in the file list exist). The server rebooted automatically on 28 th march and after that the backups are failing. The network drives are Netapp storage Shares and it is mapped to the client COLLECTIONSRV. The drives are accessible from OS using the user “USER1”. The netbackup client service is having the logon credentials of user “USER1”. In the policy the “ Backup Network drive” option is selected. The path is also specified properly. Also tried with the mapped drive letter “Y:\”. But the backups are failing with the same error code. The server has been rebooted manually but still the same issue. I have one Security groups which dont have access to that folders which I have used for backup. Now thing is I have many file servers and I dont have any details on which folder this group dont have permission. So looking for detailed backup report from Netbackup where files are folder are not included in backup due to permission issues. Please help on this. Hello, I'm looking for feedback about replicating data from MSDP masterserver on remote sites back to data centersite. They are not in the same domain.I referred some symantecdocuments (such as "https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH163110.html")that pre-seeding could be used fordeduplication butI don't know if I could use seedingto speed up the initial full backup replication. If it could be used, what'sthe configurationstep ?Solved786Views0likes1CommentRestore Transaction Log - SqlServer2012

Hi All, I have implemented NetBackup 7.6.0.4 replication director with NetApp FAS 7-Mode arrays 8.2.1. Master is AIX, but Media is a Win 2008R2. I'm using a Snapshot then backup strategy (Snap on the primary volume - with expire after copy setting - then a Snapvault to the secondary array with a 4 weeks retention). The volume protection and provisionning is working and I can also see SV replication working. As I was not able to see files on the secondary (replicated) snapshots in NBU B,A&R, I enabled the "Index from Snapshot". (guess this is the purpose of this operation). But when it ran after the replication, I had an error. Info nblbc(pid=0) done. status: 71: None of the files mentioned in the file list exist or may not be accessible When I looked on the Job Overview, NBU is trying to index a share that is built on the fly with Snapshot name: BACKUP \\SOURCE\replicator$\ USING \\DESTINATION\NBU_Share_21752823C7EAEEA8411E4AEE067EBC3F70000_SOURCE_vol_test_replic_NBU_NAS_2015-04-27_1137+0200_HOST_MEDIASERVER\ Thing is, shares with "+" can't be accepted and should not work... So how possible it is to work? Is there a place on NBU to adapt how shares are created? I know snapshots names come from Dataset configuration in OnCommand, but here it looks more to be a NBU setting. Thanks for your help. Hi guys. Do you know if Windows 2012 is supported on NetBackup 7.0? We have an old backup server running this version and we would like to add some Windows 2012 clients to it. I've made a big research but couldn't find it available. Does anyone knows if Symanted ever released a client for Windows 2012?
