Explanation of EV queues
Running EV 7.5 on Windows 2003. Within Computer Management, I notice there are lots of different EV queues. EV Archive agent admin queue EV Default Admin queue EV Mailbox Task for server1 admin queue EV Restore Agent Admin queue EV Restore spool admin queue EV spool queue EV storage archive EV storage restore Generally, the Mailbox task queue is the busiest. Could someone explain to me what these queues mean? Is there an effect of deleting a queue if it's getting too large? Which queues are the ones we can delete etc?

How can I see the size of a archived Exchange mailbox?
Using Evault 8.0.5.1048 I need to determine the size of an archived mailbox. On the properties of themailbox there isno indication of the size of it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

How to restore or save multiple mails from vault
Iaman EVuser(running EV2007 (7.5.5.2635 client), Ithink we are running EV v8.0.1560 on the server according to the help file path. Using XPProfessional running MSOutlook 2007 SP2. We have approx 3000 e-mails residing in a personal e-mail vault that we wish to be made visible by our department. Is there an easy / automaticway of moving multiple files whilst retaining the full folder path structure to any of the following: a shared team vault, restore e-mail to original unarchived format in Outlook (i.e. with all text and attachments now visible) move to windows folder as ".msg" files. Perhaps there are some scriptsto achieve one of more of these? Or is it something that ITcan do for me from the central EV console / manager end? Thanksin advance. Arne T

EV Proxy between sites
Hello there, We have one AD/Exchange Organization spanning multiple physical sites enabled for archiving with EV. Are you aware if you can use one EV server as proxy for OWA/OA access across two sites part of the same EV Directory. I want to mention that the two sites are configured as separate EV sites within the Directory. Thanks, Giulio

Need an explanation of what the local EV db's are?
I'd like an explanation of what the local EV db's are located here on c:\ drive, ....\local settings\app data\kvs\enterprise vault\ecdf453dcfg....\ There are very large db's, in addition to xml and ini file. Do these db's need to be here, can they be deleted? If yes, will there be any issues? thanks. ap1111

Hi, ALLof the EV 11 installation I have done in the last months results in the same after a month: Fragmentation warning for indexes When we approach the DBA team they run check and say all is ok. even after running re-index, after a week or two the events are returning. Anything special regarding this check? Should we ignore it? should I change the threshold? Sarah
