Current netbackup version 7.7.3. Currently no support contract or no plans to re-up to make netbackup current so I'm posting here for some help. This is currently backing up some old unix servers and recently began to have a Status 41: Network Connection Timed out only on full backup schedules. I increased the client read timeouts (up to 1800) on the master server and increased the client read/file browse timeouts on the client to 7200 each. After doing this, the full backup timeout still occurred after about 45 minutes of the job running. Recently, I checked the "allow multiple data streams" and the total backup ran for 13 hours and the job that has /opt in the file list failed, but still wrote alot of KB and files, but the last 2 lines of the status are: info bpbkar32 (pid = 12833) done. status: 41 network connection timed out end writing; write time 5:33:25 Looking for any assistance please.2.5KViews0likes7CommentsRe: Cannot log into GUI, status 526
Hello, not sure if I am posting this correctly ( just joined with a new user account). The topic "Cannot log into GUI, status 526" seems to fit my stuation, but the solution does not seem to apply to me.So when I try to log onto Netbackup admin console ( NB ver 8.1.2) from Win 10, I get status 526 Cannot Connect to the PBX service.I have master server on Centos 7; media server on Win server 2008R2; and have i500 for automatic tape library; and VNX5400 for NDMP backup/restore. I think the problem started in BAR GUI, as I was trying to do a NDMP restore on a folder; I think I incorrectly selected a Full backup and 2 incremental backups after the Full backup (3 backups all at once) and clicked on “Start Restore”; the GUI got hung, and Netbackup never recovered from that. I restarted Netbackup processes ( bp.killl_all, bp_start_all). I also tried rebooting the master server and the media server. But the problem never cleared up; I cannot login to the admin console, and the nackups do not seem to be running. I also tried to restart PBX process, etc. without success. Any help would be appreciated.Solved5.6KViews0likes19CommentsPassword protect backups
Hi: Is there a way to password protect specific backups, can it be done for backups already created? You can encrypt backups, but if two users with same privileges have access to same media server that created the backups, either of them can restore any file backed up started by the other user? Thanks for your help, best regards.Solved1.6KViews0likes3CommentsParent job of SAP Backup failing with status code 6
