I have a Solaris 10 master/media server running 7.0.1and a Solaris 10media server (7.0.1) with a direct connected C4 Tape library. . . a;sldkfja;sldfj I am trying to backup a NetApp partition to the aforementioned C4 Tape Library using an NDMP policy. Downloading the trail version of veritas netbackup 7
In 2010, in which address Icould downloadthe trail versionof veritas netbackup 7? I've been using veritas netbackup 6.5.4 + vmware vshpere, using the vdr tobackup vms. Backuping vms with Netbackup 6.5.4 require too much disk space. VDR can not back up other content in windows, resulting in I had two data backup centers. Depressed. To find a lot of addresses, and not now.

ACLS SL8500 configuration
Hi Guys, I am tring to make sense on how to add a SL8500 robotwhich currently uses ACLS software to Netbackup. Has anyone done this before? Any help is appreciated. What are some of the big differences between adding this type of robot and any other robot with drives. The way I understand it so far, it that the ACLS software controls all media movements and Netbackup is like a client to this software. But when I actually configure it in NBUwhat would be some differences, I would think you add it as a Storage group as per normal. Thank you

Auto-assignment of tapes in logical library
Hi, I have been facing a problem with tapes. Most of the times required tapes are already available in the physical libraries, but not assigned to any logical library. At the same time, if i run the inventory on the master server, i can't see the tapes. So each time, I have to confirm with the data center person to know the status of the tapes and then i assign it to logical libraries. Can it be possible, that the moment any tapes get loaded to the library, it will be auto-assigned to the concerned logical library? Please advise. Thanks, Satyajit

When I set a calendar based schedule in gui then check my debug log I see that the bpplschedwin command does the work, I am trying to understand the parameters it uses and how it works. EMM database going down frequently
Hi team, Can any one suggest me , my master sever is running on a windows platform and very frequently goes down .I figured out that unified logs are genrating at around 51 Mb every 34 minutes ,which is filling up the disk space , as well as i am also not getting alert when my catalog is getting filled up although mail alert has been configured for this . Please suggest a way to automatically delete the unified logs every two days or so .I dont want to redirect them to any other location as have only two drives ( i.e C: & D:) in my master . This will get me some space from disk . Any suggestion , please let me know soon . Regards, Monty
