Replacement options for Backup Exec.cloud
Now that Symantec has announced that Backup Exec.cloud has only one year left to live, I was wondering what the residents of this forum plan to do to replace it? Starting in January I plan to search for a similar type of product - one that can back-up locally, as well as to the cloud. If anyone has any suggestions as to the appropriate product and hardware, I'd appreciate knowing about it. Thanks! Has anyone attempted to restore BE.cloud files to a new computer? I needed to do that for a client who's computer crashed, and every single file is inaccessible because of Windows Security. I am told by support that this is the way the product works. I would have to go through each of the 5,000+ files and change ownership. Any suggestions? Hello, I've less than 10 desktop/servers backed up with backup exec.cloud. Principally for office data (.doc, .pdf ...). We use this service since march 2013 and in the first times it worked really great. But since late october, the service backup exec.cloud is really, really slow. The backups takes hours for low volume of data ...(when it works). I send emails to the support team of backup exec.cloud > No response. I tried to call them > The phone does not ring... And I'm blocked on this situation since 15 days. Can someone give me information about what's going on with this service ? Connectivity problems on Symantec datacenter ? And is there still a support for backup exec.cloud ? Thanks for your help. yoann_rt PS : I'm French so sorry if my english is approximative.613Views0likes0Comments
