What is the best practice after the Exchange Mailbox user is leaving the company ?
Hi, Can anyone share what is the best pratice to do after you archive the Exchange Server mailboxes with EV according to this article (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH67757) ? Do you still keep it or can you safely delete it from the Exchange Server which will means it deletes the AD account as well. I've never delete all of my Exchange Server mailboxes in the company before because i do not know what or how to access the archived email from the EV console. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. ThanksSolved1.4KViews4likes5CommentsOutlook 2010 prompts for credentials once for store/restore/search archive (until restarted)
Hi, When I archive/restore/search an archive in Outlook 2010, I get a prompt for credentials in order to connect to the EV Server. Here is a screenshot of the prompt connecting to the ev server: I get this every time I open up Outlook but once I enter the credentials, I don't get it again untill I close Outlook and re-open it again. Tried all possibilities stated in the link below: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH56220 Environment Details: EV Server is on Windows Server 2008 R2 with Enterprise Vault 10.0.4 MS Exchange 2010 Client is on Windows 7 with Outlook 2010Solved784Views3likes6CommentsEnabling Vault Cache and VIrtual Vault and successfully synchronising.
Dear Experts, I have a read theough a number of existing posts, I've tried following the 'Troubleshooting Vault Cache Synchronisation for vesions 10 and 11, but I'm still getting something wrong. I've added registry settings including "PSTDIsableGrowAllowAuthenticodeOverrides", in a bid to get the synchronisatoin to run and complete, but no joy. Synchronisation bombs out after a few seconds with 'No Vaults Available. Contact your Helpdesk' and 'Connected to the Enterprise Vault Server'. This has yet to work for me, though a few other user clients appear to have succeeded. Please see attached log and advise me where I've gone wrong ? thanks in advance, a numpty.Solved3.6KViews3likes37CommentsOutlook Addin Not Enabling
I have a user on one computer that has an issue with the EV11 Outlook addin (CU1) enabling properly. He is enabled for EV, can access the web interface just fine, and can access his vault store and see the EV ribbon in Outlook 2010 on another computer. However on his primary machine it will not enable. If we manually enable it, the addin immediately disables. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the client and done a reset. If I update the LoadBehavior registry key in the HKCU to 3 it stays like that until the next time Outlook opens, when it changes back to 2. There are no logs to see in the Appdata\Local\Temp folder for EV, nothing in the Windows logs, the Outlook log shows lots of addins loading, except that one. Any thoughts?753Views3likes2CommentsEnterprise Vault Compatibility with Microsoft CRM
We have the Enterprise Vault add-on installed within Outlook 2010. we also have Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook client installed. Based on some limited testing it would appear that there may be a conflict between these two add-ons; whenboth add-onsare installed, Outlook has a tendancy to freeze/hang, there's also an issue when trying to expand certain [outlook] folders. When the EV add-on is not installed, this behaviour does not happen. Does anyone know of any incompatibilities between these two add-ons? Thanks.
