Hi! This may not be the right place for this question, but where can I download the latest version of theEnterprise Vault Outlook Add-In? We have licensing, etc., but I've searched all over the site with no luck. Also tried calling Symantec customer service, which was honestly a nightmare, and I never got an answer. Hi, I have a user who support have reinstalled EV and even Outlook, but still can't get it to work with Vault. The Archive Explorer or Search buttons just give a white page with no data on it. In Outlook, archived emails shows as stubs in the inbox works fine. From IE, I am able to open searchvaults without issue. So the problem with with Outlook accessing the EV web sites. At the end of the log files, found in AppData \ temp, I can see this (may be unrelated, not sure!) 25/09/2013 13:58:41.703[7808][H]: Installed Outlook preview pane registry keys fix for Outlook V14 25/09/2013 13:58:41.704[7808][H]: Unable to add/remove Outlook ForceFormReload registry key fix for Outlook: 0x80070005 25/09/2013 13:58:41.704[7808][H]: Set SharedFolderScript = 1 25/09/2013 13:58:41.704[7808][H]: Set PublicFolderScript = 1 25/09/2013 13:58:41.710[7808][H]: [Offline Config] Enabled: false 25/09/2013 13:58:41.798[7808][H]: IDispatch::GetIDsOfNames("MessageClass") failed, error 80020006 25/09/2013 13:59:01.771[5816][H]: When we try and access EV pages in Outlook, it says it is trying to access some EV Redirect web page in this TEMP folder as well. After installing the 10.0.4 Oulook add-in on multiple machines, I receive the following error every time a user logs into Windows: "Enterprise Vault Outlook Add-In could not establish a connection to your Exchange Mailbox. Restart Outlook and, if the same error occurs repeatedly, call your helpdesk." I suspect that it comes up when Lync is starting. Otherwise, it seems to function properly. Any ideas? Good afternoon, I am working with a client who has been having an issue where her enteprise vault tab is missing from Outlook 2013. Client setup: Windows 7 x64 Outlook 2013 32-bit in Online mode with one shared mailbox, and three "opened" PSTs attached (two old calendars and one archive of deleted items). Client's online mailbox is the default delivery location. Enterprise Vault Client 10.0.3 add-in. Server Setups: Exchange 2010 EV 9* (not sure of exact version yet) *We have not updated the enterprise vault on the server side because we only use it to access items previously vaulted, and are no longer adding items to the vaults. Issue: Enterprise Vault Tab not appearing in Outlook 2013, add-in shows enabled, and Tab cannot be added back to the ribbon through customization Troubleshooting steps taken: Created new outlook profile Reinstalled EV Client Repaired Office 2013 Configured the Exchange Desktop Policy \ Advanced \ Outlook \ Remove PST Entries = 0 (was set to 1). [This just enabled, have not verified it's fixed it yet -- but this is labeled as a "workaround"] Discoveries: A new profile worked until I added the PST files back to the client's profile. When Outlook was re-opened after adding them, the tab disappeared. I verified that any one of the three PSTs causes this issue, and that removing them from the profile causes the tab to show back up Log during failure: 21/08/2013 15:41:05.161[3384][H]: Log file created (level 1). 21/08/2013 15:41:05.162[3384][H]: Loaded UI Language Path: c:\program files (x86)\enterprise vault\evclient\languages\en 21/08/2013 15:41:05.163[3384][H]: Loaded Help Language Path: c:\program files (x86)\enterprise vault\evclient\languages\en 21/08/2013 15:41:05.164[3384][H]: Module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\EVClient\Valkyrie.dll 21/08/2013 15:41:05.165[3384][H]: No language resource module was loaded, the default English resources in Valkyrie.dll will be used 21/08/2013 15:41:05.166[3384][H]: RPC over HTTP is not enabled (flags = 0) 21/08/2013 15:41:05.338[3384][H]: Unknown exception occurred21/08/2013 15:41:05.349[3384][H]: IDispatch::GetIDsOfNames("MessageClass") failed, error 80020006 21/08/2013 15:41:06.274[3384][H]: FUI: Not loading UI as action map is empty. Is the user enabled? Question: I've heard that 10.0.4 client is out but I can't seem to find a download for it, and was curious if this would resolve the issue. Not sure why having PSTs attached (and not default) would stop the EV tab from loading, especially if it didn't do it in 2010. Anyone have any ideas as to the cause or any fixes?Solved8.5KViews1like5CommentsUser Keeps getting prompted for Credentials (Enterprise Vault)

Hi All, We are currently in the middle of an Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2013 POC & to date we have had some challenges in regards to the functionality of the Virtual Vault after the installation of Outlook 2013. Outlook 2013 installs without error. We then launchOutlook all looks well with the Virtual Vault in the navigation pane, however when you click on the Virtual Vault to expand the folder set you get the error message "Cannot expand the folder. The set of folders cannot be opened. An unexpected error has occured. MAPI was unable to load the information service EVMSP.DLL. Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured". To set the scene we have the current configuration on our POC test case machine - Outlook 2007 SP3 installed side by side with Outlook 2013 15.0.4649.1001: - Enterprise Vault Outlook Addin 10.0.4.1293 - Outlook 2007 SP3 user with Virtual Vault working as expected - Outlook 201315.0.4649.1001 with Virtual Vault, however cannot expand folder set because of the MAPI error above. In order to re-enable the Vault we have had to do one of two tasks below: 1. As part of the Outlook 2013 installation script we perform arepair of the Enterprise Vault add-in, which results in most cases of a working Virtual Vault upon completion of the installation ofOutlook. 2. By running the following commandrundll32 EVMSP32.dll,MergeEVMSPWithMAPISVC To my understanding the reason for this MAPI error is a result of the new installation of Outlook 2013 creating a new MAPISVC.INFwhere the Enterprise Vault services have not been registered. This then results in the Virtual Vault not functioning as expected. In performing one of the two tasks below this registers the service with MAPI, which results in a working Virtual Vault. What i would like to understand is if anyone in the forum has come across an issue like this & what approach you have taken to resolve it. Any insight, suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, ScottSolved4.9KViews1like5Comments"A folder with the same name already exists"

How to Remote a User from Enterprise Vault (EV) mailbox Archiving Outlook for Windows I have had quite a few people ask to be removed from EV archiving for some reason or another. I recently had to spend a lot of time doing it and wanted to share with some people in hopes of making their job a little easier. It is a multi step process that must be carried out in order and will require the users interaction. Situation: A user in your environment needs to be removed from mailbox archiving and wants their Outlook to be like it was before EV was implented. The Fix: Export the users Archive to PST just in case something goes wrong. Use the export to PST option in Export Archive wizard. Basically, make a backup! Use the 'Export Archives to their original mailboxes' This will create duplicate items. The original message and the stub will exist. This action can re-create folders the user has deleted and will restore items to the original location when it was archived. You must make sure the mailbox in Exchange has enough room for growth as the mailbox will grow when you export the items from the mailbox back to the archive. http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH35614 NOTE: This will also disable the users archive in EV. http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH50905 This is the only way to do this. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/find-messages-or-items-with-a-search-folder-HA010354954.aspx See below for details on making the search folder. Use EVPM to Zap the EV properties from the user’s mailbox in Exchange. If EVPM wasn’t enough, remove the Hidden messages from the mailbox locally to clean up the Outlook mail client. (Optional, but I would do it to be through) EV might not delete the archive immediately. The server may be busy or waiting for another task to complete. Just follow up the next day. Create an Outlook search folder to locate all the mail stubs and delete them. Remove the user from the AD group that made them part of EV. Uninstall the Outlook plugin/add-on from the user’s mail client. Delete the user from EV. Optional: Skip step two and just delete the archive. Do the rest of the steps and give the user the PST you created in Step 1. Or you could open the PST data file in Outlook and drag the messages back into a folder on the OST (Users exchange mailbox). This will merge the PST archive back onto the Exchange database for that user (aka…their mailbox). Search Folder: Right Click “Search Folders” in the Navigation pane of Outlook. Choose “New Search Folder”. Give the search folder a name and choose the “Criteria”, then choose Advanced. The Field should be “Message Class” contains, Value= EnterpriseVault. Save your folder. This will find all the EV mail stubs in the users mailbox so you can delete them.4.4KViews1like5Commentsarchived item can't be opened after being moved from PST to inbox
