Symantec Enterprise Vault Add-in
Just a helpful FYI that I found. I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit with Office 2013 installed. I installed Office 2010 then upgraded to make another program work, but I noticed that my Enterprise Vault add-in was not showing in my outlook. After trolling the forums, I found a few references to Valkyrie.dll. I searched my C: drive for that particular .dll file and found many results, but only 1 with that exact name. If you run that file using c:\windows\system32\regsvr32.exe it will register that .dll file. You will see all of the results disappear from the search and when you restart outlook, the add-in will be there and be working correctly. Hope this helps.Solved3.8KViews1like8CommentsEnterprise Vault Compatibility with Microsoft CRM
We have the Enterprise Vault add-on installed within Outlook 2010. we also have Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook client installed. Based on some limited testing it would appear that there may be a conflict between these two add-ons; whenboth add-onsare installed, Outlook has a tendancy to freeze/hang, there's also an issue when trying to expand certain [outlook] folders. When the EV add-on is not installed, this behaviour does not happen. Does anyone know of any incompatibilities between these two add-ons? Thanks. Hi! This may not be the right place for this question, but where can I download the latest version of theEnterprise Vault Outlook Add-In? We have licensing, etc., but I've searched all over the site with no luck. Also tried calling Symantec customer service, which was honestly a nightmare, and I never got an answer. Any help would be much appreciated!Solved45KViews1like5CommentsOutlook 2016 (office 365) / EV-Addin 12.0.0.1528: MSPTLS.dll is not compatible with MS Outlook
Hi Guys, Outlook 2016 - Ofifce 365 - Version 16.0.6965.2092 EV-Addin Version 12.0.0.1528 - With EV Cache Mode and Enabled Virtual Vault Exchange 2010 Version 14.3.123.4 EV-Server 12.0.0.1528 After starting Outlook 2016 on Windows 7 Clients, directly an error message pops up: "MSPTLS.dll is not compatible with Outlook" like described in https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000116342 Can anyone explain the error and how to fix it, workarounds with disabling EV-Addin or roll-back Office Updates is not very well. The image of EV should be getting better with EV and Virtual Vault, now the image at user side is decreasing more and more.Solved12KViews0likes4CommentsClearwell Privilege Logs
The documentation for the Clearwell Platform states: Privilege log: Clearwell automatically creates a privilege log of all privileged documents for opposing counsel’s review. Users have the flexibility to select which fields to include in the report, such as document ID, custodian, to, from, subject, title, and reason codes and can produce the report in CSV format. However, we can find nothing in the actual user guides (either administration or reviewer) that indicates just how you go about actually producing this "automatic" privilege log. We have the "reports" feature, but of couse this is not a privilege log and has none of the options described above. Can any one tell us what we are missing or doing wrong? Good Morning, We have two locations and two vaults per location created in EVault. Each location has their own exchange server. We are currently running into an issue, where when we search a specificinternal email list (distribution list)as 'Recipient' in advanced search, and metadata 'resm' as attribute with the user email address, results return email from both locations. Does anyone know if this is expected behavior for internal email lists? Ex:LA Vault; OHIO Vault. Email sent to internal email list which includes users inLA and OHIO, does this mean one copy is added to each vault per user? If this is the case, why would they all appear when searching a specific metadata attribute specific to the user, like email address? Thank you!603Views0likes2CommentsThis Item could not be downloaded. (OIOM) and Outlook 2013
Dear Experts, The problem: acouple ofusers out of several thousand have reported an "OIOM" error, when trying to open items in their EV archives. We have a somewhat mixed environment, as we're moving towards an Exchange 2013 environment. Currently, an EV 10.0.2 Server with EV Outlook Add-In ver 10.0.3.1169 rolled out to clients, mostly using Windows 7 Pro. In the last few months our Outlook 2007 clients were upgraded to Outlook 2013. In the main this has been very successful, but we have clients reporting an error panel: "Could not show this item. Try again. If it still fails, contact your Help Desk. The item could not be downloaded. (OIOM)" Noother codes are shown in the panel. No Hex codes appear. All we have is 'OIOM'. In Windows 7 Registry, both of these settings are in place, through Group Policy and under most other places such as software\microsoft... 12.0/outlook/pst ...14.0/outlook/pst PSTDisableGrow PSTDisablleGrowAllowAuthoenticaticodeOverrides On my laptop they're in the above places, but not under 15.0/pst I personally do not encounter the 'OIOM' error. The users reporting the issue are in different regional offices. Our security protocolsdo not allow me accessto the users machines. Appreciate any pointers to getting over this problem.1.3KViews0likes1Comment
