Discover Accelorator - Inaccurate hit counts
TCP Chimney, TCPIP Offload Engine (TOE) or TCP Segmentation Offload (TSO) will cause a transport-level error to be logged resulting in inaccurate hit counts for Accelerator searches Title of Tech Doc http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH55653 Doc states that if you do not turn off these settings you get inaccurate hit counts. Do you need to turn them off on both the EV, DA and SQL servers? Optimization docs want you to turn off the setting on all servers. Does that apply here? What is an inaccurate hit count. Does it mean you are missing documents or are documents double counted? We are running EV & DA 9.01 on server 2003, SQL 2008 on server 2008 R2, I have seen the errors listing in the doc in our event log. We are building a document that shows what type of attachments are not indexed by Enterprise Vault and are therefore not searched when using Discovery Accelerator. We use DA when we are subpoened for efiles and may need to show a court which types of files may not be produced when searched. The only document I've seen from Symantec uses generic terms like it cannot search within encrypted emails or audio files...we're looking for something a bit more specific...such as PDF or image files, etc. Obivously we can't account for every type of file but if we can get a good list of common files that would be helpful. Thanks!Solved1.1KViews2likes1CommentCan you let me know if it is possible to search for a word in an email address in EV Discovery Accelerator?
Can you let me know if it is possible to search for a word in an email address in EV Discovery Accelerator? For example if we search for the word “boat” it should return emails send and received from, without the word being required in the subject or content * john.smith@boatshed.com.au * bob@boat.net.auSolved1.1KViews1like3CommentsEV Discovery Accelerator Search Capability
Hi Can DA search content using a NEAR bolean syntax? I'm interested in search for content that has "Word 1" within 2 words of "word 2" eg "DOGS will chase CATS" will return a hit whereas "DOGS will not chase CATS" will not return a hit kind regardsSolved2.5KViews1like6Commentscreating different searches in one case and exporting seperate pst's

Hi, Using Discovery Accelerator 9 we are reviewing an eMail that was sent to a Distribution List. We need to know the members of that Distribution List at the time of the email being sent\received. When exporting the email and clicking on the Distribution List it is resolving against our current Active Directory membership and returning Mailboxes that weren't even created at the time of the email discovered, being sent. Thanks in advance, Cheers, PhilSolved2.2KViews1like8Comments
