what's the default password for the clearwell 7.1.5
I am a newbie for the clearwell. I have successfully installed the clearwell 7.1.5 on my computer. when I login into the clearwell UI, it asked me for the username and password. I have tried superuser/superuser, superuser/password, all of them didn't work. Could anyone help me? thanks.Solved5.3KViews1like8CommentsSymantec Clearwell default pw
Admittedly, this may be a stupid question. I was recently tasked with updating/using a Clearwell appliance for which no one has any of the passwords (including the Windows Server 2008 R2 password). Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks!Solved2.5KViews0likes4CommentsClearwell v8.1 Hardware Requirements
Hello. I am gathering the Clearwell upgrade requirements (upgrade from 7.1.5 to 8.1). I have two questions: 1) What are the hardware requirements for 8.1? We do not have a Clearwell applicance. 2) Do I have to purchase a license for Office 2013 or is it included with the Clearwell 8.1 software? Thank you.Solved2KViews0likes4CommentsLogging into Clearwell eDiscovery Platform Fails
We are on Clearwell 7.1.2, for a reason unbeknownst to us when trying to log in we get a message of authentication failed [#16005], User ID not found or password was incorrectly typed. I know this to be untrue because I can log in a few hours later using the same credentials. I can log out on one day, come in the next day and try to log in and get the same message. If I come back to it later, my login will sometimes be successful. I've tried restarting services, restarting the device and still get the same thing. This is becoming annoying as there are times when I need to manage some cases with high priority and I'm unable to. Has anyone had this same experience and have a solution/workaround? Clearwell is being installed at an account I support. Symantec is doing the install, but they are having touble with the account that gives Clearwell access to EV and I suppose the accounts that run services as well. Do I just need to assign permissions to this account as stated below. Are all pemissions needed like SQL? The VSA must belong to the Local Administrators group on all Enterprise Vault servers · The installation script does this. Do I need to add these manually?· Log on as a service · Act as part of the operating system · Debug programs · Replace a process-level token · Log on as a batch job · The VSA must have Full Control permissions (both NTFS and Share) on the PST Holding folder, and it is recommended that this folder be located on the Enterprise Vault server. The VSA’s requirements in SQL Server Note: Granting the sysadmin server role to the VSA covers all of the necessary permissions. Read on for the least-privilege requirements. · The VSA must have a SQL login with the following permissions to the SQL server (instructions): Server role: dbcreator Server permission: View server state · The VSA also requires the following rights on the msdb system database (instructions): Select permissions on the sysjobs, sysjobschedules, sysjobservers, and sysjobsteps tables. SQLAgentUserRole database role The VSA’s requirements in Exchange · The VSA requires full access to all mailboxes and public folders. Choose one of the following options: · For Exchange 2003 and earlier, grant the permissions manually using Exchange System Manager (instructions). · For Exchange 2007 and later, grant the permissions using the PowerShell script included on the Enterprise Vault media (instructions). · For any version of Exchange, grant the permissions manually using ADSIEdit (list of the required permissions). · If archiving from Exchange 2010, the VSA is required to have its own mailbox with a custom Throttling Policy (instructions). (Note that the mailbox receiving this Throttling Policy is the mailbox associated with the VSA, not the EV System Mailbox discussed below. They are separate mailboxes.) · In a multiple-domain environment, the VSA must be able to access all domains associated with any Exchange Servers that are to be archived (further details and examples). · The VSA should not be a member of the built-in Exchange Organization Administrators group. I am configuring the Legal Hold confirmation server on a new Clearwell v7.1.2 install. By default, links to the confirmation webpage are configured as HTTPS, so when a custodian clicks on a Legal Hold confirmation link, they get this message: There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address. Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server. We recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to this website. Click here to close this webpage. Continue to this website (not recommended). More information We will not be deploying a certificate since all access is internal. The Legal Hold guide suggests two methods to create a certificate but there is a property that will direct the user to a non-secure version of the Confirmation Server, an HTTP address instead of an HTTPS, that will eliminate this error. Property to change: esa.icp.holds.link.useHttps Value to set: false Confirm Change. No need to restart services, the new link will go to HTTP and all of the previous hold notices are accessible there.1.7KViews1like9CommentsCW - Case Number Limits
Currently we're getting this error: “ Unable to save case. [#80112] Can not create, too many cases on 0.2.1.0, try again after deleting 1 cases.” I believe I read there's a way to set the max number to a higher limit. Is this correct? Is there any instructions on how to do this? We are only at about 50% of our Enterprise license limit. Thanks!Solved1.6KViews0likes5CommentsLegal Hold Notices
Is there a solution within the Clearwell Legal Hold module/tool to remove the confirmation link and language from the reminders and release notices? This is being asked because there is no relevant info for the custodian in the reminder and it causes confusion. Unless, there is a way of noting it in the reminder and I am not aware of it. As for the “To view your pending and active legal hold notices, please copy and paste this…”, section can Clearwell list the custodian’s pending legal holds/ links?
