Can't install Agent on Windows server 2003R2
When mounting the agents from the server console the process does it correctly but then on the machine with windows 2003, the service is not started and therefore does not contact the console properly. The same happens to the three servers with w2003. Thank you
2nd Tape drive not running job
Hi All, I hope somebody can help me. I have a HP autoloader 4048 that had 2 * internal LTO4 drives. We replaced the 2 drives with LTO5 drives. In backup exec 2010D/device manager I can see the drives ok and have added them to device pool , one will run a backup/restore but the 2nd one just stays in a queued state. This wasnt a problem previously with the LTO4 drives. Any ideas? Thank You Luke
BE 10d Engine keeps crashing when restoring
I know I have a very old version, but it is what it is... I am trying to restore a mailbox from mailbox level backup, and the engine crashes every single time. Tried to look for the Service Packs and Patches, but cannot find them available anymore. This is really important, b/c I have about 200 maiboxes in this backup, and need to get to them. Create new Backup Exec database when current database is not accessable
Our Backup exec 2010 media server database is pointing an SQL server that is currently offline. How can I force the media server to create a new database on a different SQL server so I can start the process of cataloging to do some recovery. The SQL server and the BEDB.BAK are both unavaliable. If I try the BEUtil to select new DB location it fails trying to connect to the offline server first. If I try a drop/repair I get no option to point to a new server. Do I have to clear out some registry settings to force the point/creation to a new sql server location?
