NBU java admin console Unable to login status
Hi, Netbackup Java Console is giving me error "Status: 517, cannot connect to the NB-Java user service via VNETD on [master server] on port 13724". This has been working for some time, error seemed to coincide with routine windows security updates that were installed recently, I've removed those updates but still get the same message. I can telnet between this server and the master on port 13724. Can anyone suggest what the problem might be? ThanksSolved12KViews0likes12Commentsunable to login, status : 7656
Hello everyone I have a problem and I ask for your help on this context. I run the netbackup console and on the connection attempt I have an error with code 7656: The revocation status of the host certificate can not be verified using the Certificate Revocation List (CRL), because the CRL is not update. It is older than seven days. Typing the command nbcertcmd -getCRL, I have error 5978 with the message Attempt to refresh certificate revocation list failed. I specify that it's been years since my servers run without problems. This occurs on 8 different servers, in different countries, there has been no windows update or special changes on these servers. All these servers are windows 2008 R2 and backup exec 2010 R3 with the latest update. Has anyone ever had this problem and found a solution? Hi again, There seems to be another problem here. The "PREFERREDREPLICA TRUE" key word in the batch script seems to not be working correctly. I have set it up so that one full backup is taken on saturdays and every hour one transactionlog backup is taken of the databases. But it seems like every bakcup thats done are done on both my server and not only on the prefered replica (se picture). I have set the option for the availability group and I have also the keyword in the batch script as you can see (se pictures). Does anyone know what could be wrong here? Master is the Storage Server: NetBackup 8.0 with Windows 2008 R2 SP1 Disk used for MSDP disk pool: External storage connected to the Windows server through a dedicated HBA. Uses a SAN switch and Microsoft MPIO. Our Puredisk Disk Pool is going down a couple times a month, during backup windows, after weeks of uptime and regular performance. This makes the NetBackup backup jobs directed to the associated MSDP storage unit fail with status 2074. The Disk Pool refuses to go up even restarting NB services but a Windows reboot brings everything back online. Problem started a year and a half ago, before the upgrade to NetBackup 8.0. Since I haven't been able to catch the incident itself I tried replicating it (with NB services down) by disconnecting the external storage: I got logs in the FC switch and MPIO errors in Windows Event Viewer, which weren't produced before when NetBackup marked down the disk pool. The storage itself has zero errors and is unaware of any problem. Therefore, my theory is that the disk has been always online and something is happening in the software. Until now the best NetBackup logs I have are from Disk Reports \ Disk Logs, where the following lines are produced right before all the backup jobs start failing with status 2074: Volume <Disk Pool>:PureDiskVolume monitored by <Storage Server> is down Volume <Storage Server>:<Disk Pool>:PureDiskVolume marked down I tried looking in <MSDP-path>\log\spoold\spoold.log but coulnd't find the reason why the Disk Pool was down'ed in the first place. What logs should I be looking for and how should I configure their verbosity if required?Solved8KViews0likes10CommentsGetting Error V-79-40960-38521 when try to full vm backup
Hello I'm backing up monthly from Hyper v host full backup to all my clustered VM's, im getting error V-79-40960-38521 only for 4 VM's, SS backup is ok for those VM's. I'm using backup exec 16, all the machines have iscsi volumes connected, 2 of the machines are server 2008 r2 and 2 server 2012 r2, in hyper v host (server 2012 r2) i'm getting event id 10110 ( The virtual machine cannot be backed up because it has incremental backup enabled and iSCSI disks connected to it), i tried a few solutions from the web and nothing solved that. I tried full updates, changed vss provider, apply hotfix KB2996928 but nothing help. Appreciate is someone can advice. Thanks. (attached error photo)Solved7.6KViews0likes7Comments
