We are in the process of migrating from vmware to windows server 2019 hyper-v for a windows server 2012 r2. We are trying to restore a backup of the windows server 2012 r2 using symantec system recovery 2013 r2 and we are able to restore the reserved partition and D drive. When we restore the C drive the process gets to 99% and just stops. We searched the internet for a solution with no success. thanks Frank1.5KViews0likes3CommentsSymantec System Recovery 2013 R2
Hello, Does anyone know if the current System Recovery which is being offered will open a backup set from Symantec System Recovery 2013 R2? Here is my situation, we are being sued and to help with the case, I need to view a backup set from 2017 and try to find something. Now, since the MSP is no longer in business, I don't have access to the software to view the backup set. I have searched all over archive files for any installer and I can't find anything. What options (if any) do I have to view the backup set? Hopefully, someone will be able to provide me some useful information. I tried customer care and that was useless. Thank you. During backups the cpu just to 99% caused by the Veritas Systems Recovery service. Creating File and Folder Backup hangs at 5% and I can't restart the service. I have to reboot the server. I use the same user name and password for my other backups and the same NAS. I am seeing theseerrors in the Event log: Error EC8F17B6: Cannot update the system index (.sv2i) file. Has anyone had any experience of creating backup destinations to point at Cloud storage. We have on site an object storage platform which apparently can use the same protocol as amazon S3. Hello all, After a recent install of Veritas SR 16, my email notification messages are nothing short of cryptic. So, I am trying to upgrade VSR on all my systems to SP3. On most of them worked well, however I am unable to upgrade VSR on the system running the amnagement itsself. i don't know if this is a coincidence or not. I am getting exit code 1 if I look in the management agent - properties - execution history. Usually I get exit code 1 when there is another installation pending (for example, windows updates), and a reboot fixes it. However, in this case there was no peding install, and reboot in fact did not fix the problem.2KViews0likes5CommentsCannot delete Missing Recovery Points
We are running Veritas System Recovery 16. For some reason I can see 6 Recovery Points that have a Missing status. I could not delete them. I selected them and clicked on Delete but that did not help. I even tried the Clean Up button, but also to no avail. Did anybody encounter this problem?617Views0likes1Comment
