Not Able To Configure Azure Direct Backup In Trial Version
Hi, we are evaluating Veritas System Recovery Basic Edition Trial and can't select our Azure storage acccount as the backup destination. Is this a limitation of the Trial Version? The Download OpenStorage Files option is greyed out in Advanced as well. Thank you, Jim
SSR 18 and 4K/512e disks.
Hi I have a general question about the ability to transfer Veritas System Restore (SSR) 18 images [v2i] between different types of disks on which they were captured and restored: Advanced Format 4k (native 4k) vs 512e disks. Can partition images made on 4k disks by SSR 18, be restored on 512e disks and vice versa - images from 512e disks restored on 4k disks? What are the compatibility limitation? BR
Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery 2010 R3 SP3 Setup Disk Download
Dears, My company hadused Symantec BESR 2010 version 9.0.5 for windows server 2008. But when we upgrade OS to windows server 2012 R2, the BESR cannot work. The BESR cannot connect to BESR backup service. I find in symantec forum that BESR 2010 have to upgrade to R3 SP3 to work normally in windows server 2012. It has fallen to me to manage this software after my colleague left the business. However I am surprised that he evermanaged to get anything done. Using the interface is like wading through treacle. A restore must have taken over an hour to initiate and thenI wasn't confident that it was doing anything. The servers are physical and exclusively used by SSR. Using the browser on the server itself rather than my PC makes no difference. Are there any maintenance tasks that need to be performed on SQL Server or the SSR server itself? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I believe the powers at be are thinking of ditching the whole thing for another vendor, something that can backup windows 10 machines.
Problems with MS-VSS 18: cannot load any page in altiris console
I just upgraded the server manager at version 18. If I try to open any configuration page, or computer list, in the console, it starts to load (spinning circle) and never ends Opening thealtiris console page with Chrome and opening the ispection tools shows many loading errors Any thought how to solve this? So, I am trying to upgrade VSR on all my systems to SP3. On most of them worked well, however I am unable to upgrade VSR on the system running the amnagement itsself. i don't know if this is a coincidence or not. I am getting exit code 1 if I look in the management agent - properties - execution history. Usually I get exit code 1 when there is another installation pending (for example, windows updates), and a reboot fixes it. However, in this case there was no peding install, and reboot in fact did not fix the problem.
VSR16 Restore anywhere can't install raid driver
i backup the OS of server dell r730 using VSR16, and creat the VSRD iso. i boot the new server, dell r540, with the VSRD iso. then i load the raid driver, and find the storage device, so i recovery the OS backup to the new server. but, when the recovery progress is to 99%, it prompts me to provide the driver of storage device, i select the driver file "*.inf",and click ok. unfortunately, it tells me "no matching driver for perc h740p found". i need "how to do" and "what to do"
