How to renew NBU 812 Master Server security certificate?
Hi, Does anyone know how to renew a NBU 812. Master Server security certificate? Scenario is a lab master server that isn't always running; if left shutdown for more than ~10-14 days the Web Management Console fails to start and I get "Unable to login, status : 7656" and Certificate Revocation List (CRL) older than 7 days errors when trying to log in to the Admin Console. Also "nbcertcmd -listCertDetails" showsits security certificate has expired. The documentation and technotes I can find seem to cover renewing certificates on clients or media servers assuming themaster is running. Thanks, AndrewSolved22KViews0likes16CommentsBackup jobs fail- (7647) Proxy peer does not conform to proxy protocol.

Hi there, We found a really old catalog backup in the Catalog which should long be expired. When trying to expire it in the GUI it says Backup image expiration cannot be modified because its SLP processing is not yet complete (1573). Doing this from commandline it says about the same (of course). When trying to cancel its replication it gives also an error: # nbstlutil cancel -backupid<Imagename> Operation not successful: status = 220 (database system error) According to Marianne in a previous issue 220 means 'no image found'. Hi all, I'm trying to install and configure new Windows filers failover cluster on Windows 2012 R2. I've installed client on both Windows server. Access them from admin console is OK. When I want to add virtual name of this cluster on policy, I've received this error : "Unable to connect to Netbackup host" When I look in client properties, I've see that : "The vnetd proxy encountered an error". I've read few guide, but I've not see any recommandations about this trivial configuration. Any idea ? Hi Our Mission is to cancel a list of more than 1000 images called in SLP. I Found one post atatched below of Marraine. calling script in linux, to delete images from txt file. The path appears to be an invalid path. Please ensure the server name and share name are correct.
I have downloaded a trial version of Backup Exec version 20.2 rev 1188, but I can't add my storage. The error I get is "The path appears to be an invalid path. Please ensure the server name and share name are correct." I've found this document: https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100028740, but it still doesn't work. The storage device is in DNS, and it's pingable from the BE server. The user also has full read/write to it. I'm trying to add it as disk storage. Also, I can map the drive through Windows, but I can't see it as a local disk from the drop down.Solved8.3KViews0likes6CommentsHow to create a virtual VMware Backup Host for NetBackup?
Hello everybody, our company has a NetBackup environment in our Datacenter to backup our virtual infrastructure based on VMware vSphere. As we use NFS shares for our VMware datastore, VMware backups were planned to use NBD transport protocol with the known limitation in speed. In a first step (before we start to migrate our datastores) I would like to use virtual VMware Backup Hosts to use HOTADD transport instead of NBD. Unfortunately I was unable to find any step-by-step documentation from Veritas (competitors do have such documentation), how to create such virtual VMware Backup hosts that can read VMDKs directly from datastores via HOTADD, as long as VMs do not use IDE disks. Here is what I found so far (correct me, if I am wrong) ... Create a Windows VM (e.g. Windows Server 2012 R2) and install the NetBackup Client (in this case v8.0). For safety reason I would recommend to use the 'automount disable' and 'automount scrub' command in diskpart. Furthermore, I would recommend to disable the DiskManagement Snap-In via gpcedit.msc ! Finally, one has to include this new virtual VMware backup host in the host properties of the NetBackup Master Server and add it to the 'VMware backup hosts' settings. Is that totally wrong or do I miss something? Any reply is much appreciated!7.8KViews0likes37CommentsNBU8.1 - Hyper-v job error 6
