As annouced today VSR 21.3 has discontinued support for VSR-MS.:smileysurprised: Who does Veritas think should one centrally manage 150+ clients in 100+ different locations? :smileysad: SR Monitor might help with monitoring, but definitly not with policies and settings! And how to migrate all does centrally managed jobs to locally managed jobs?!:smileyfrustrated:2.2KViews2likes5CommentsVSR Management Solution Unable To Create Policy - 404 Not Found Error
Hi all, I have installed on my VM (Windows Server 2016) VSR Management Solution 21 and now I would like to create some backup policies to centrally manage backup. However, I am not able to create any backup policy - when I click on "create" string I got this error message - 404 Not Found We are sorry but we could not find what you were looking for - see attached picture 1. I have no idea what is wrong and how to troubleshoot this issue. It is completely weird as I am able to add new client computers to MS and I can deploy VSR plug in to client computers. Do you have any suggestion what to check? Could it be an issue with the database server? Should I apply NFR license for example? Are there any associated logs? Thanks for any help.Solved2.1KViews0likes7CommentsIs VSR21 can be installed in Windows 2016 Server?

I'm looking for a backup program capable of filling a 10Gb pipe, and in the near future, a 100Gb connection. In my lab, I have two Intel Xeon E5-2500 servers with10Gb NICs, 55GB Ram Drives and freshly installed Windows Server 2019. The 10Gb NICs are cross-connected and Windows file copying (SMB) a large file to a mapped network drive fills the 10Gb pipe at nearly 940 MB /sec (94% of the 10Gb connection). However, frustratingly, that performance is never seen with Veritas System Recovery (VSR). The fastest VSR will write uncompressed through the network connection is 1.4Gb/sec (~140MB/sec), even though the entire 10Gb pipe is wide open, and even after trying all the Performance registry hacks (Default is still the fastest performance). What should realistically be expected of VSR?1.8KViews0likes4CommentsVeritas System Recovery Management Solution and Win Srv 2016
Hello everybody, in my compoany we're using VSR since many years and we implemented Management Solution in order to control clients status and to remptely manage backup jobs. We moved from an environment based on Windows Server 2008 R2 and VSR 16 to new servers based on Windows Server 2016 and we realized even latest version of VSR Management cannot run on servers newer than 2012. I was woundering if Veritas is still interested in supproting and developing this product. How can it be that Management Solution customers are still depending on old (and complicated, and really heavy) Symantec Altiris Platform that, I believe, nobosy will never update tp be compatible with newer OS? Does anyone know if there is some plan to implement a different solution to remotely control clients. In our network we're dealing with 28 clients and I cannot imagine to install VSR 18 on all clients and to go on each of them to modify a job or to check status of the backup. Now that Windows Server 2019 will be on the market is it serious to be just compatible with 2012?1.8KViews1like5CommentsVSR Management Solution 21 Trial software
