VMware based incrementals not working
Hi, I'm having issues with getting Incremental backups of VMware virtual machines working using the AVVI agent. V-79-57344-38324 - Incremental\\Differential backup methods are not supported for this VM. The backup job failed, since the option 'to fall back to a full backup' was not selected. V-79-57344-38366 - Backup Exec 2014. vSphere 5.5 I've confirmed that VM hardware version is appropriate and that CBT is enabled and working. Full backups have completed successfully. What can caused the above message and incrementals to not be possible? ThanksBAckup scan on vmware server continues to run
I created the first VMware backup job. I tested the entire authentication and all were successful I then started the full backup and it started the backup scan, which appears normal. After 14 hours it is still running a backup scan. Is this normal for Backup Exec 2012 to take this long on a backup scan? There are no errors or alertsvStorage API backups fail with status code 13
vStorage API backup, nbd transfer mode, is failing with error code 13 for the most of the VMs. I get only few successful backups - all on same ESX host. backup speed only max to 1MB/sec so I guess it must be caused by the slowness on the network, and I'm trying to get it fixed on network side. while I'm doing that, I wonder if there are any tunables / settings that I can adjust in NetBackup, so that vStorage API backup waits long enough for the retransmit of data from the datastore, rather than simply throwing out status 13? 7.1.0.3 on Win2kR2x64, media server is the backup host.
