NetBackup client for Sybase IQ 16.1 sp4 on AIX 7.2
Does Veritas has NetBackup client for Sybase IQ 16.1 sp4 on AIX 7.2? Checked compatibility list - not found Sybase IQ :( After replication backup to target backup domain does NetBackup have ability to automatically (after replication ends or by schedule) restore db backup?
Is there any NBU command/syntax to check the duration&speed of each completed AIR/replication job?
Hi guys, I just want to know if there's a specific NBU command/syntax to get the duration and speed of replication that lapse in Activity Monitor. I've tried the command "nbstlutil" but there's no output I needed. Netbackup AIR over FC consuming a lot of network bandwidth
Hello, NBU version 8.2 Master server Linux Appliance 5240 version 3.2 We are facing issue with replication jobs. All the instructions in the guidelines for setting AIR using fibre channel are followed. The replication jobs work well, and the speed are quite high, so we thought that the replication over fc is working accordingly. However, about a week ago, network team found out that netbackup appliance are consuming a lot of bandwidth during replication (not sure since when this actually happened), so they put a cap to limit the consumption of bandwidth for netbackup replication. The network report show that the port that is going through the LAN network is 10082, which is the spoold port. Logging the case to veritas support doesn't help at all. They said that data and spoold and data transfer should go through only one way(fc or lan). But clearly that is not the case. Now, there are a lot of replication jobs running with no progress(0kb), especially the big sized ones. Even the small size image is replicating very slowly. So obviously network capping is taking effect. Appreciate if someone in here colud help me with this. Thanks in advanceUpdate Remote Host on DDBoost Association
Hello Community, We recently relocated our backup environment to a new physical location which forced us to change the domain suffix of our NBU environment and Data Domain. The prefix/hostname has stayed the same. We have NBU AIR configured with DDBOOST/EMC Data Domains. So initially we used this similar article to configure NBU Air for a Data Domain (https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100015147_ however with the move now the remote host information has changed and should be updated. Can this be edited or does the association have to be destroyed and recreated? About NetBackup AIR Configuration in case of Multi-NIC
I would like to ask about NetBackup domain configuration when NetBackup server has multiple NICs. NetBackup 8.1.1 Winodws Server 2016 The NBU server has multiple NICs, and data packets are designed to flow in each segment. Front Segment :Control Packet Backup Segment :Backup Data Packet Replication Segment :Replication Data Packet Customer created MSDP without specifying a network interface. In this state, replication data flows to the front segment, so they want to change it to flow to the replication segment. Therefore, in host management of security management, registered the host name of the replication segment on the media server, and added the alias name of the storage server(ndmp) using nbemmcmd command. >nbemmcmd -machinealias -addalias -alias “ReplicationSegmentHostname” -machinename “FrontSegmentHostName” -machinetype ndmp But, although the host name of the replication segment of the target storage server is specified in the replication settings of the source storage server, an error occurs in the replication job. How should they set it? Also, how should they set it originally?
